So, been dating (to help me forget the last one), little did I know I would start dating Satan. This girl seemed okay until she tangled me into her web of corruption, now I have to find my way out. I'm sooo done with her, no love lost but she left some scars, she's like a bad hangover.

At least you realized it before it got too far along.. and can get it out this way..you will find the right one eventually Klox.
backmagicwoman (Aug 11, 2007)
just imagine how bad things would have been if she had waited to show this side of herself. But like lori said...she did inspire some awesome art work here. You'll have better luck next time i'm sure.
Sweetcell (Aug 11, 2007)
There are so many wrong people out there. But I'm sure your right is round the corner (I know, I know, cliche')
You do good works from your guts. :)

Kloxboy (Aug 10, 2007)
I particularly like the colors. this would look even tighter if it was more painterly.
Sweetcell (Aug 10, 2007)
When scow goes buggy I question the universe. Actually.... um.
Nice piece. Again I'd want this as a pattern on a nice light long sleeved blouse.
lori (Aug 10, 2007)
I always thought 'til recently that lascaux was pronounced (La-so), I still like it better that way-
yeah it was doing weird shit like the colors wouldn't change, it stayed on all the red hues the whole time,
so I could choose a color but couldn't see what I was choosing, could only see the reds, can't explain it...
anyway, thanks you guys

Amazing and all those things. :)
Kloxboy (Aug 10, 2007)
Thanks guys.

Sweetcell: Really? I was sooo going for "all those things." :P
backmagicwoman (Aug 11, 2007)
Kind of reminds me of Rip Van Winkle when he woke up..only bald.lol Anyway, I really thinks it's cool. I am always fascinated by people who can do lineless art, I myself am unable to do so. Nice work.

Nah, I'm a full-blown righty, lol. I would just zone out a bit, but still concentrate. It helped my lines to come out a little smoother. (That sounds weird but its true, heh.) They're still a little shaky looking, but trying to clean it up would only make it worse, lol. Thank you Lori! :D
sweet_insanity (Aug 10, 2007)
i dig the pose, the way she sits on the clowd is awesome, and it seele to actually holdher weight, very nicely done <33

Did this with my left hand. Don't know if it counts since I'm left handed, but I usually draw with my right hand here and this was very awkward and it felt like it took foreverr. Must switch mouse buttons back now.

There are so many wonderful details in this pic. The water at the bottom is a great touch, adding to the reality and energy. Excellent work! Jillj

Came around to check your gallery since I've missed so much lately, and this one in particular caught my eye. I have often thought of doing one of some photos from NASA in Houston, since I'm from the area, been visiting recently, and really familiar with it, but haven't had time.

This one turned out great. My favorite thing is the area to the right. This is a good piece of art.

Finished. I was just trying something a little different with the lineart... I think this isn't the best coloring for the method, but I like it.

My normal instinct is to offer comfort and support, but Klox, hon, you can't replace her. In some ways, even if you find someone else whom you adore, there will still be the corner of your heart that sees her in every woman, that remembers her and loves her. It's not something you can erase, not if you tried. You really -were- in love with her, but you can't spend the rest of your life waiting for her to come around, or even for her to come back... It's only hurting you, and I don't like to see friends - however new or however known - in pain.

I hope you can work through this. If you wanna talk or anything let me know. I know it's none of my business, but it's just kind of a, "hey, if you need anything let me know."

That's all. This is really pretty. *hugs* And I'm glad that you chose to draw her as you see her, not how the media would see her. It's a far more personal view.
Kloxboy (Aug 8, 2007)
clover pocky: I've made many of my experiences (good and bad) public though my art and ramblings. To some degree, I've made my experiences other peoples business, so I'm not about to shoot anyone down for giving advice, commenting, suggesting, etc. You're welcome to react as freely as you wish.

I think you've got a good hold on my situation, I agree with most of what you said. Everyone you love lingers with you long after they've gone and will probably remain with you for the rest of your life. When I say replace her, I meant I just want someone else to love, I don't intend to find a new version of her. My personal pain will always be expressed in my art, I know this now, it's just how I work. I would be an insane mess if I didn't have some type of art therapy to give me release. Thanks for your thoughts and support.
sweet_insanity (Aug 8, 2007)
i like the shapes here, not too detailed but i still emphisizes on
