Ok, so it ended up not being really all that anime-like. More of a freakish hybrid. It was fun working on it though.

homg 14 layers.

It looks like you're trying to rely on the blur tool too much.
In my opinion, you should use the blur tool as little as possible and just use the colours, tools and different opacitys and techniques to blend colours.
I think the blur tool just makes things look blurry and doesn't blend very well at all.
The second version of this caught my eye...hope you keep going

Cooler than cool. I love this robot.

I'd say a ton more, but then I'd just feel redundant.

the soft lines are impressive when the subject matter is usually so hard and metallic. i would love to know how you go about painting something so soft. the background is just as intriguing as the subject.

I agree, it looks like he is standing with fire in front of him , lighting the lower portions. Nice drawing!
kejoco (Mar 6, 2006)
reminds me of drawings i did in elementary school where you cover a sheet with crayons of every colour then put a layer of black paint on top. You then scratch off the black paint to create or draw your picture and let the colours underneath come through...at least thats how i think we did it.

and I just mean the way this was done, not the quality of the drawing that reminds me.
It is a very cool drawing
SHANIQUA (Mar 6, 2006)
wow i love it!
Jodylicious (Mar 6, 2006)
Yea.. nowadays you can buy stuff like that, ti's just a rainbow printed paper with that black paintstuff that over lottery tickets that you scratch out~
