I sort of feel like it's finished. I guess I'll just label it as unfinished though. I'll probably come back to it.

I've got nothing to say. ;)

...other than I don't know what I'm doing when it comes to shiny lips.

Well you seem to be learning. This looks pretty good to me.
emmamommalag (Dec 24, 2004)
Yes, indeedy. Looks great! Very nice job you've done there, Allyssa. :)

Of course no one here is interested in anything I have to say or what's going on in my life, but deal with it. I've been in quite a mood for the past two weeks, and the reason I know not. My speech has been out of control as well; either I speak Shakespearean or it is foul and profane. While those f-ers shove opinions and demands down my throat, I bend over backwards to help their own future. Yet, of course, I'm the one out of control and in the wrong. [Bleep]ing douche bags.

I think my I.Q. just dropped five points.

Maybe I should've mentioned that I did this completely with the line tool, save the text.

Never thought of doing an entire picture with the line tool... interesting idea, Allyssa and a nice picture, too. Who are these 'f-ers' who are shoving things down your throat?

this is really turning out nicely. I like the plain black and white it adds simplicity to a very busy border lol
Kenshin (Oct 17, 2004)
Great position. The body is really nice... One thing I suck at. XD -envies yew- I agree with me007, I love teh black and white. Also, the background is cool. ;)
iwonderwhy (Oct 17, 2004)
Thanks! :D All three.

THE one and most important gift. From The Man. A gift to be humbled by. A gift to cause shame. To cause repentence. To feel sorrow for what I have done. For everything. None of us is worthy. Especially me. Especially you. Someone died for us. Paid for us and our foolish, sinful ways. Paid in full. Paid in blood. He paid for some minuscule, nothing people... like tadpoles in a puddle... simply because His Father asked him to.

His love is warm, and all-embracing. By Him carrying our sins for us--sins that damage the soul, that weigh us down, that poison the most perfect things--His love is shown. Why make His load even heavier?

Jesus rocks!....I agree with Emma:)
iwonderwhy (Oct 7, 2004)
Thank you Lee. And you too, DMV. I appreciate it! :D I really like the way this turned out. Of course, it could be better... but I'm satisfied. :)
Ari (Oct 8, 2004)
Interesting use of colours... I like the layout and composition

I've been doing all of my high school's (and the Upstage Review's) theatre poster designs for the past year, and this fall we're doing the musical Kiss Me, Kate. So... since my scanner is broken, I can't scan drawings into my computer. I need them in my computer to get them print-ready. So I have been borrowing usage of other people's scanners, but now that I've discovered this awesome site... I don't think I'll have to anymore. :)

EDIT: I'm also throwing this one out. My computer's a nut job, and I couldn't open Photoshop. I already have it done (sort of) on paper, so there's no need for this.

no one cares
iwonderwhy (Sep 30, 2004)
Well maybe a twelve-year-old wouldn't... but maybe a graphic artist would, twerp.
Zack (Sep 30, 2004)
Cannibal has two N's.

If you want to make it print friendly, you'll need to make it much larger. For a T-shirt, it would have to be several times larger, probably four times as big in both dimensions. Unfortunately, that means you will have to stop working on 2draw and transfer this image to another program in order to resize it. If you just printed out a bigger version of what you have right now, it would look very distorted and blocky. I'd say your best bet without a scanner or a copy of Photoshop is to simply re-draw it on paper, ink it in pen, and take that to whatever printing shop you would have do the programs, shirts, etc., and have them scan it in for you.
iwonderwhy (Sep 30, 2004)
Thank you for your advice, Zack. I think I do have Photoshop somewhere on my computer... I haven't dug around in that program for ages though, lol, so we'll have to see how it turns out after that point... but at least I have a starting point by working here. I'll probably keep the design for a few more days, and work with it in photoshop after I finish this... rough draft. Once I get everything blocked out and shaped generally how I want, then I'll take it to another program. But thank you for giving me the time of day! :)

For my Shakespeare class, we recently went on a trip to Spring Green (WI) to see the American Players Theatre. We went to see Twelfth Night (which was absolutely awesome). This is pretty much what I remember of my reflection on the way up there.
**Note: I can't draw bus windows! XP**

Ok... I guess I've reached my (second!) limit... it's fine as it is.

Ok... thanks! I just memo-ed VisceralVamp about some more space. So... now we wait...

*prays for more space*

I hope I won't need more later on...

3rd online piece. This idea pretty much came to me... during a commercial. It had nothing to do with the commercial, that's just when it popped in to my head. lol. The commercial was about cars or something. Ironic isn't it.

I'm in a cleaning mood... so instead of cleaning my room or clearing out my work binder.... I'm clearing out unfinished pieces from my studio. I touched this one up a bit, and I'm letttin' it loose.
Mipunai (Sep 26, 2004)
Pretty, I love how you did the water x3
gerbear (Sep 26, 2004)
This is wonderful iwonderwhy. Thanks for the nice welcome on my pic, this far outshines my "have not gotten around to shading yet" effort. Very lovely colors in the water and the sky.
emmamommalag (Sep 26, 2004)
Oh my goodness.. I missed another great picture. This is really lovely, Allyssa. I love the water.. and the sky, too.

Just a sketch. Didn't take me nearly as long as it says I did. I originally started drawing something different... but was struck with a flash of an image, and decided to draw it. So... Are there any skewed shadows or angles? Suggestions welcome. When I step back and look, the right eye look like it should be shifted, which I will probably do. But... comments? criticism?

very very nice iwonderwhy. I love black and white as much as color. Alot of nice soft highlights and modeling on the face.
davincipoppalag (Sep 26, 2004)
This kind of looks like a deathmask. I would like it better with sharper edges, but I'm a pain in the ass about that.
emmamommalag (Sep 26, 2004)
This is very nice. I like version 4 best... it's much clearer and more 'in focus."
Destervetha (Sep 27, 2004)
I actually sort of like the first version best, it's very interesting. But the last version is very good, I don't see any messed up shadows, but I could be clearer on that point if I knew where the light source was coming from exactly.

Ok, this is another thrown together piece. I'm working on relaxing when I work and not be so uptight about it. Perfect example: while I was working on this, I spent maybe 1/2 hour getting laundry together and getting my younger sibs to bed... maybe it was an hour... so, the time on this is way off I'll bet. Anyway... this is a brain image of the beautiful countryside of where I live...

Really? You're from Wisconsin? Well... I'm from Sparta. :) Where are you?
Kloxboy (Sep 24, 2004)
Sorry, I lived in Galesville WI for almost 7 years..now I live in CO.
iwonderwhy (Sep 24, 2004)
Aw, well that's too bad. That's a major move! I'm sure it's just as beautiful there, though.
davincipoppalag (Sep 25, 2004)
I like this too. You have portrayed the essence of the place without the details, and that's what impressionists did, isn't it?
Nice.
