I love her lips and the shading that comes down her nose. She's very pretty.I think that the solids in the hair and eyes kind of clash with the rest of the picture, although seeing as its unfinished, you're probably going to go back and change that or something. Nice pic anyways. :D

Funny, I like the way the eyes look, depthless yet very mysterious (if that makes sense.) To me just the hair needs finishing.thank you for your nice comments! ^^
well i will do something with the hair later but the eyes will remain this way ^^ i mean i wont draw pupills (when my friend saw this she said i must draw pupils cause her eyes and her expression look so empty. :) i love this 2 meanings she and you, Sweetcell think ^^ actually that ambiguity is what i wanted )

this is so good, I really like it, it's like rainbow eye lid and you did a great job on the eye lashes. I will try to draw an eye too, but it's not going to be as good as your's, but I will try my best!<3

Amazing stunning piece Gemmy. Didn't I see something similiar drawn by DBA? I think that's how you graduate here, if you can do an eye your set.... I have one in mind, but only till I get a bit better. This is simply wowzers.

Love the eye..very realistic and great against the textured background. Agreed aobut the view..u will always see one or the other, the top ledge of the lower lid or the bottom edge of the upper lid but not both, but since you worked from a ref, the original artist is the one who did that, therefore..yours is perfectly awesome!!! The Iris is startingly real! |

I haven't felt much inspiration to paint anything lately, and I kinda had the blahs and felt sad, so I was browsing photos of polar bears because that always cheers me up. They do so many cute, funny things and I end up laughing instead of feeling sad. I ran across this and wanted to paint it because of the pretty lighting. I love polar bears the bestest. I want one of my own but it's too hot here and it would just eat me anyway.

My favorite thing about this is the way you painted the shadow on the face of the bear in the back. The transluscent quality shows such depth.The colors are so sensitive, and palpable... (I love the way that orange next to pale lavendar happens so distinctly in nature) |
