This parrot was inspired from a photo by JustinBlackStudios who was kind enough to let me use his wonderful photo of this beautiful bird. I will put his link later. But need to say to him thanks so very much! http://justinblackphotos.deviantart.com/art/Elegance-32547187

I just noticed your icon pic and was curious to see what it looked like upclose. Cool! I love how vivid the colors are in this picture, it makes it so life-like. I've seen your other drawings of birds and I think this one is by far the best one. I don't think I could have done this in 20 hours, great job girl!

Not much to say other than this is my first submission, and I really don't know how to use layers or any of the tools, lol, but just the basics, brushes and palate. oh well, it's a start anyway. the ref for this is compliments of justinblackstudios http://justinblackphotos.deviantart.com/art/Natural-2-29881444

Thought I would try another applet, and I think I like this one better, Love the airbrush. Seems as though the colors are more saturated when uploaded than in the drawing for mat??? maybe it is just me,...lol
Sweetcell (Feb 6, 2008)
Hey honey, the tools in Lascaux are a little different, but not that much different and it has airbrush. If you look at the box with the different brushes you see a small point, then another, a square, solid circle, and a "softer circle". That's the airbrush and I love using it. If you just remember to adjust the flow and opacity (below the tool bar) you can get the look of good airbrushing and watercolor. This is a really good eye. The lashes seem a bit thick (Tammy Faye.) but I love how you did the pupil. Keep it up.
davincipoppalag (Feb 6, 2008)
Beautiful . I don't use that one so I can't help you with it.
jpjp1052 (Feb 7, 2008)

In the reference pic. you cant see the other breast, it is below the floral setting, from this angle you can't even see the swell of the breast, it again is to the side of the rib cage. There is another ref pic done from at the leg area level which shows this. In actuality the figure is at an extreme positioning and the back is arched sharpely at the neck and shoulders to the right which causes the other breast to be hidden off to the side. As "real" breasts would do. Almost under the armpit if you will...link http://flickr.com/photos/13099168@N08/2254221832/ |

The eye though seems oddly placed. Makes it look.... wierd. I feel it should be up and closer to the beak. But hey, good piece.
