I have an unfortunate habit of drawing the forrground BEFORE drawing the background so my backgrounds tend to look more like accents around the front figure, rather than a scene.ah well.

to Shiek-AS far as i can figure it, i still have to START with a back ground layer first, right? i mean, even if i just used a blank one and came back to it after I finished the foreground. It sounds simple, but I ALWAYS FORGET! I know, i know, take some ginco and lay off the bud.

well, what I do, is I start with the figure in the picture, and if i'm doing a "just-color" background, i draw it on a different layer, and then erase inside the lines of the figure. That way, i can draw the background without really affecting the figure! I know, its kinda obvious...nobel prize goes to....SOMEONE ELSE! waaaaaaa...

If you forget to make the background layer before you start, you can always just copy the foreground, make the top layer invisible, erase the bottom layer, and then make the top visible again. That way you can use the bottom layer for the background. I also use that layer to put color on... much, much easier and cleaner than masking. Would that I had discovered all this earlier. :p There should be a board for posting PaintBBS and OekakiBBS tips and tricks. Share the knowledge. |

i like dis! well the backrounds a bit crappy but i like it! i took the black lines away and i think it looks better coz u can c the folds on the tail more easily. XD yey!|||| EDIT ||| I changed the background! and it looks crapper!

Well, Sonic seems pretty popular at the moment...I used to worship that hedgehog and I love the more recent games, too. I just wish they had better voice acting.

The problems mentioned earlier seem to have subsided, and everything appears to be functioning again. The web-admin has upgraded the entire system, and all seems to go well! Saving images is still a good idea, and even for myself, I'll save a copy after submitted for my personal archive. In other news, we've already broken 500,000 hits! Additionally we have broken 100,000 uniques hits, meaning people actually seem to care about 2draw now! For those of you waiting on 2draw...

Again, I made a practice rate picture in the public forum. WLB's curse strikes again.Yay, everyone's favorite mascot hegehog, crudely rendered. Some of he shading is nice, and I'd like the line if it weren't so messy. I like the hand. I like the head too, but the shading and hair is messed up. I love the eyes tho, they just burn. The one on the right looks like it's glowing.

The sketchyness adds energy, which fits with the high-speed motif.The thing about Sonic is that he's easy to draw. Relativly.
