XD You might want to shade your pictures. And try using the 2nd program on the list.

Moderators are... ?
iwonderwhy (Sep 27, 2004)
My question is NOT what the moderators are or what they do... I'm wondering WHO they are? I'm sure Marcello is probably a mod, but I don't know who any of the others are, if any. I've been looking for a list somewhere, but I haven't been able to find one. So... yes, I need some more space for a drawing of mine, and I need to know who I can send my request to. So if someone could tell me a summed up list of who the mods are? I'd appreciate it so much. Thanks! :)

I am a newbie on this site. A professional Art Teacher by trade. Mastering ANY of these drawing applets will be a challenge. They are very different from the program I use offline. This drawing ended up being an exercise in color (finding them on the RGB scale) and in composition. I will try a more realistic piece if I can master the dang tools! Very cool site tho, love the artwork here. Also, I don't currently own a Wacom pen. that would help.

Type in the comment box under "post a comment".. look down below. I like your colorful abstract piccy. Welcome to 2draw. Just keep experimenting with the tools until you get the hang of it. Try the different applets.. everybody seems to have their favorite after awhile. Different strokes for different folks.

Welcome to 2draw.. I prefer the Lascaux applet. Once you get used to it, you will love it. Look in the wiki on this site, and there is the start of a tutorial, at least one that tells what the tools are. It will be nice to have someone here who teaches art. I haven't had any formal art training, just a class or two of "cut and paste' in college. You don't need a pen. Some of the best here never use anything but a mouse.. look at Aubrey, Axil, and several others.
emmamommalag (Sep 26, 2004)
Good luck finding that tutorial and if you do, I'd appreciate a link.

Nudity: 13+ or 18+?
marcello (Sep 17, 2004)
Despite what it may seem like, I am not personally a heavy advocate of rules and censorship, but since this has been brought to my attention as a possible problem, I thought I would get input from the rest of you. As you may or may not know, the official guidelines for how to rate an image specify that basically any kind of nudity does not qualify under the 13+ rating. The line between 13+ and 18+ has been blurred when it comes to simp...

Site regulations on Posting to boards?
JackSprat (edited Sep 18, 2004)
I'm just curious, seeing as this is the first time it's happened to me. I was unaware that you were not allowed to post works in progress to the boards, but evidently, this is true, even though I have seen others post from beginning to end of pic. Just got a point deduction, and the comment from mod, "this is what unfinished hidden is for", because I had to save preliminary sketch, as group came into the restaurant. I did save it as unfinished, and with a message, because I have been absent for...

Well gosh I disagree. Personally I think cherries are full of taste. :P

But honestly, there are actually several important reasons why I draw 18+ pictures. However, I don't incite debates, especially in the wrong place. Sorry to dissapoint.
SacrumAuster (Sep 14, 2004)
Oh wow...Me likes...lol although I'm never gonna look at my mother's luggage, earrings or tattoo the same again...yeahh she has a tattoo of cherries, on her right breast, and it say "Lusche Meine Kirsche" not sure if that's spelled correctly...but it roughly means..."Suck/Lick my Cherry" soo ehh yeah...never gonna wish her to buy anymore cherry stuff...lol ehh thanks for the disturbing memory of my mother getting that tattoo Child...still it's nicely drawn, and it's cute...
Xodiak (Oct 27, 2004)
You might find disturbing the idea of cherries reminding you your mother's genitals, but all people came out of their mothers' private parts! >;)

When I first joined 2draw, I was presently surprised at how many people seemed intrested in my work, and would post comments on it.
It was always so fun to submit a drawing and then see people notice it, and comment.

But well, lately, I don't know.

People don't seem to care anymore, and I don't know why.
Is it because I am no longer a newbie, and people think that i don't need artistic support anymore?
Is it because my work is no longer as good as it was?
I..I really don't know.

But I DO know one thing. As soon as I post this, if I do get any comments at all, they'll be ones like,
"Shut up! We don't want to hear your $@*^ sob story!" or
"Trying to get comments by making people feel sorry for you? Jerk"

I just want everyone to know that is not what I'm trying to do. I don't care if you decide whether or not to comment now; I just had to get this out of my system. Sorry if i wasted any of your time.

I disagree. Time doesn't seem to be the factor! I spend a lot of time often on my pics and I seem to fall into the same conundrum! Chin up sweety, it's only a drawing site you can take it for what it's worth! I happen to love what you have done. This picture is very creative! = )
nezogib (Sep 12, 2004)
Time isn't really in my opinion gets people to comment. I don't think there really is any one thing that gets people to comment. I spend lots of time on like 2 doodles and 1 of them got a good responce while the other was essentially ignored. I think most people when browsing comment on the really good and the first pics. Also it seems a lot of people are interested in anime style drawings and good coloring. Also not as many people look through the beginners board.
For the pic. I think that the idea is really nice. I would just say work on the head proportions and add a background.
davincipoppalag (Sep 12, 2004)
I don't think it's intentional Breac. There are so many pictures being posted on the beginner and intermediate board (and even the advanced) that new ones get lost in the shuffle often. They rarely stay on the browse page more than a few hours at best, and then rapidly get moved down as new ones get posted. I don't think too many scroll down more than the first page or so. I think you draw cute cartoons and have original ideas.
