Noremac: This design is over 3 years old but yes, it's different than the majority of my work on 2Draw. I use the original "leafhead" design for my MSN icon, which I've made into many different colors, including orange & black for Halloween. :)

the white guide lines made this good. I notice you go through phases of styles of colour, even making specific features stand out. recently it's been your teeth. the looks super sharp but 3D none the less. you never try out changin the style of the noses in your pics do you? it's always that skull-like cavity...
nobody (Feb 14, 2007)
um. actually frootcake, i just looked through the last 50 or so of his pictures and i don't think your observaton on the noses is correct. actually, the noses are pretty varied and usually caricature-ish.
Kloxboy (Feb 14, 2007)
Thank you Nobody. What you -assume- is not always what -is-. It pays to actually look at my work before you guys make generalizations.

Mmm. I always get those when I'm at the movie theater. Original fruits, like Andy Warhol? He was pretty original and most certainly a fruit, if not a fruitcake, a genius if anything else.
Axil62 (Feb 12, 2007)
Yup, I'm havin some right now. Just ate a red one..

"I am not a rib" haha, never really bought that either. Even in the Bible, man's fragile ego shines through. I used to do promotions for a punk band called Oedipus Complex in high school, man did they suck but they were original punks all the way. They always played drunk and were very violent, what's not to love? I think every man has that complex to some degree, maybe not as bad as ol' Oedipus did (thus it was named after him) but we all seek a little mommy in our companions. Interesting piece, it's fun to try and interpret what it means.

Ohh nice blockhead with boobs (LOOK CAM)
frootcake (edited Feb 12, 2007)
cool as.
k edit: k totally got this one, you're referring to todays skinny models as being the equivalent of the old venus/aphrodites. however, i don't think all successful models are blockheads, maybe you only mean the ones who are starving themselves
solve (Feb 12, 2007)
frootcake :D very on point.

The other night I had been googling anorexia images because I was working on something that was emaciated but had skin. A MAJORITY of pictures included models. I thought to myself, "This is the new venus? These are todays standards of beauty?". Revolting if you ask me. Then I thought about what influence theyve had to become this way and the influence it holds over women today. Which is apparent both in (Of all godforsaken places) Hollywood, fashion, and sadly friends. It reminded me of Videodrome too, that thing on the head is actually a TV (not obvious, I know". The statue stand as a material broadcast of what "beauty" is. In its stomache is a hole/vagina, due to the ideas of sex overtaking the image of womens beauty and filtering it to one aspect. WOW IM SO DEEP LOL. Just kidding, this was a very spontaneous work.

Thanks though, your comment made me very happy.
