Good one. It feels as if I can actually reach into this picture.. Nice use of the blur tool.
Peipera (Jan 19, 2004)
Oh wow, that's really cool. I like how it's blurred up close and not far away.
Juna (Jan 20, 2004)
Thats crazy at first i only noticed the bars and the man, but then i saw the wing and WHAMO! the whole picture popped out at me! I feel for the guy, love the feathers!
fleeting_memory (Sep 28, 2006)
Always liked this one but never commented. Great use of the blur tool to create depth. |

senshi (Sep 15, 2006)
Dood, I see it. Yeah, if you kan do that in 18min. I can just imagine what it would look like after half an hour
Sweetcell (Sep 15, 2006)

I like the torso, it's well highlighted and defined, you've got an eye for torso anatomy. The figure is great, it's soft, yet uniquely dark and alien like. This has that trippy-cosmonaut feel to it that you achieve with some of your drawings.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (edited Sep 26, 2006)
This immediately made a statement to me.... I don't know if it was intended or not, but some of the obvious physical life-giving elements are missing here... the navel where life is sustained through the umbilical cord before birth, and the nipples which are used to sustain a baby's life after birth. (Not that anybody would want to "do" her to begin with, I mean... look at that FACE :)Either way, it makes for an interesting piece of art.
tyler_da_bomb2 (Sep 26, 2006)
all i can say is sweet lol

elle oh.loosely based on a diane arbus photo. I haven't done this in awhile.
Axil62 (Sep 15, 2006)
Mine is just one opinion, don't worry about it.Your idea would quickly become nothing more than a popularity contest that has little to do with the actual quality of the piece. It's stupid.
sincity (Sep 27, 2006)
did I mention I have wood? Sorry, I really dig this piece. :}
Axil62 (Sep 27, 2006)
boner boner boner boner rump! boner boner boner boner rump! boner boner boner boner rump! boner boner boner boner !
safescene (Sep 27, 2006)
For the record, I don't think it's advanced myself. The stupid thing makes you choose before you start, so I had to make a decision. Everyone's a critic. |

The real people we honor.
fleeting_memory (Sep 11, 2006)
I'm glad you posted this-partially cause I cant thinkof something good to draw in commemoration.
Bebedora (Sep 11, 2006)
This is beautiful. The black and white only adds to the sorrow of this piece. My generation is one of the last to remember, vividly, that day... I still recall the way the whole nation held its breath afterward.
Deino (Sep 12, 2006)
Beuatiful piece, very emotive. For all of them who died that day and afterwards, from both sides.
Miss_DJ (Sep 27, 2006)

Doodling. I might paint something like this, i dunno.Listening to Jimi Hendrix, only instead of thinking "Purple Haze", think "Retarded Pink Clouds".
Rukia (Sep 27, 2006)
Eh..candyfloss? Ish pink anyway. *chomps*
Visual-Kei (Sep 27, 2006)

Lore_V_of_BlackHat (Sep 27, 2006)
Oooh this is really wonderfull........Simple but yet adorable...........:] .........Logging of Lore.V.............
Sweetcell (edited Sep 27, 2006)
No Hagaren, there's a name for cooked sugar and water. It's used for a candy base and can be swirled on desserts to look like spun gold. Some bakers also use it to make candy glass windows for gingerbread houses (watching Martha Stewart is actually good for something. Who woulda thunk it?)Anyway, that's what it looks like. Candied glass. |

1st attempt at scenery... need help creating depth.
fleeting_memory (Sep 26, 2006)
ok everytime I see your name Im reminded of this song I used to hear-but anyway this is kinda nice-a lil blurry but nice.
kuala_lumpur_2 (Sep 27, 2006)
Miss DJ=ok... thank u very much.. i think i'm just going to move on anyway. it's not real important to me, more practice than anything. I'll make sure to post it as Hidden next time. Fleeting memory=what song is that?
Sweetcell (edited Sep 27, 2006)
Ask Marcello, or Maiko, or Zack, or Visceral Vamp for space. Always remember to say please. They like that. :)Is that yellow part of the sky or a cliff? If it's a cliff you should darken the bottom edges and let it get lighter as you get to the top. If it's part of the sky you should try to blend it in with the blue. More highlights on the clouds so they don't look like they're being lost in the background. And sharpen things up a bit. If your using blur I recommend you stop, blur can ruin images if used too heavily. Maybe make the sand less orange and more yellow, somewhat the color of the background sky/cliff. You've got a great start. meh, can't seem to blend the sky...

Sweetcell (Sep 27, 2006)
You do the detailed pieces well. And those colors are scrumptious. Love the way the beads fall and drape over him.
Punky (Sep 27, 2006)
The colorssss. They remind of my favorite season, fall! The shading and lineart and coolio. |
