Haha, cute. But hey, it's officially over since 8 mins ago :P.
We got a mini crunch bar in our anthro class for Valentine's though. That was about as cool as it got lol....
Qwerty_Wittle_Fawah (Feb 15, 2006)
ROFLMAO! I absolutely LOVE this. The boy looks so pathetic the way that he is standing all shy. hehe. Valentine's is overrated...but I still had fun!

Gigandas: that is awesome crunch bars are delish

davincipoppalag (Feb 10, 2006)
I like your concept fm.
Qwerty_Wittle_Fawah (Feb 13, 2006)
ooh I like the yellow background. It makes it so happy :-) YAY! good choice
Gigandas (Feb 13, 2006)
Hey, I don't think I ever saw your finished version of this :). I like that you cleared up theproblem you were having....this looks MUCH better. Actually, the whole faded feel makes it feel more supernatural, so I think that's what's at work here :). (And no, they don't look like they are melting anymore ;)

Naw I just used "Soldier Replica" out of the cards I already own-lol
HunterKiller_ (Dec 19, 2005)
Great to see all this MTG spirit going on.
Gigandas (Dec 24, 2005)
Why haven't I come back to comment on this since it was finished (probably cause I got sick and forgot about the contest, but that's no excuse)??? That's 50 lashes for me.
This turned out great though! The wings really stand out with its metal texture :). I think the frame still puts it all together really well in making it look like an 'official' card. I'm hoping this one wins....! :D

Awesome idea...The Borg invade Urza & Mishra's domain. "Islandwalk is futile. You will be assimilated."

Gigandas (Nov 28, 2005)
Nice finish :)! I think my favorite part here is how it almost looks like the heart there is going to start spinning, floating over hands...good stuff :D.
fleeting_memory (Nov 29, 2005)
yay Niel! Thank you :) it is supposed to be about to spin, you made me happy saying that! *grins*
Gigandas (Nov 29, 2005)
Haha, no problem :). I guess I'm good at guessing what you were getting at in your pics ;).

Feel the love. This is actually almost exactly what one of my old turkey's looks like except that I traced my hand on the screen. Gotta love Kindergarten. I have found it almost impossible to make a hand turkey look dignified.

I wanted to share my childhood with you. A childhood of that oddly yellowy contruction paper.

I like your turkey better than mine :-(
davincipoppalag (Nov 23, 2005)
I hope neither of your turkeys gets eaten today!
Gigandas (Nov 23, 2005)
Ahaha! I remember doing these too :) (good memories). I dunno if mine was quite skillful as this though. I used to REALLY (and I mean 'really') miss the concept of coloring within the lines :P. This is pretty cute lookin. Happy Thanksgiving to ya :)!

Qwerty_Wittle_Fawah (Nov 23, 2005)
I just noticed his badge...that is awesome I like the background I dunno about you but I like it!
Gigandas (Nov 23, 2005)
Ooh, nice finish :)! I still think the admiral is jealous of the fact she's so much more detailed than he is :P. Good work with the out of focus bg, pushing the characters forward. I vote for this one :).
Gollywoggers (Nov 26, 2005)
This one is still my favorite. The dress is really nice. I do not think I would be able to sit that long and shade. I think the admiral being there completes the picture. Good job; I like it a lot.

they look so small and real. but real small who ever wears these one must have a thin nose.
kristine (Nov 25, 2005)
the way they are turned, the right...thing...should be faced the same as the left one. i like this though. inspiration could be sitting right on your desk :)
fleeting_memory (Nov 27, 2005)
actually both or the 'things' are exactly that way. My glasses curve inward

I'm not quite sure what that hand is holding there...is it a transparent heart or an apple without a stem? I like the shadow snake looking at it as if it'll be his dinner though :). I dunno if this was intended, but you can see where the fingers actually touch the object on the other side (kinda like what you see when people press their faces up against a window :P), and I thought that was pretty cool lookin'. Nice :).
JESSI (Nov 14, 2005)
i have a pretty good idea that she is either holding an apple or a rose ???.....maybe good job i like the arm very realistic
Qwerty_Wittle_Fawah (edited Nov 14, 2005)
OMG!!! I was scrolling past this and I said to myself hey that looks like FM's and I look at the artist and yes it is...I love the Allegory...is that the word? I like how the apple is like see through. DUH ITS AN APPLE Snakes and apples go together and like birds and feathers :-P

Okay and duh I love the background...Thanks for telling me what it represented :P That totally makes it way more awesome then I thought it was before

I like it...how do you do the sketchy thingy and make it looks so good?
fleeting_memory (Nov 9, 2005)
It isn't Adam, Caddris, but you're right it is Michelangelo
Gigandas (edited Nov 9, 2005)
Oh hey! I didn't see this.
I see you're practicing some anatomy here :). Looks pretty good. Just a little advice, but like in that right arm, you might want to round up the muscles to give it more sense that they are in fact, muscles. Definitely not a bad attempt though :).(Hehe, Michelangelo and orange..... :P)
EngineerErrant (edited Dec 23, 2006)
Mike better watch out, you're getting in on his territory here. ;)
