"Incitatus" was the favorite horse of Roman Emperor "Caligula". Incitatus is a Latin word meaning "swift". "Incitatus" had a stable of marble, with an ivory manger, purple blankets, and a collar of precious stones. The horse was attended to by18 servants, and was fed oats mixed with gold flake. Caligula even procured him a wife.....a mare named "penelope". Caligula also planned to make his horse a "consul". "LOL"!! This horse is making me crazy......I hope I'll be able to finish him....haha! I'm posting this draw as "finished".....I'm so tired of working on this. I love horses, but this little "stallion" really drove me crazy......he just didn't want to look the way that I wanted him to look...."lol"!! So I'm done with him for now.....I might try working on him more later.....I'd like to make him look a little bit better. I didn't really want to put the collar on him.....but the "ref" pic has him wearing a collar of precious stones.....so I added it...haha. :)
Aquawolf (Aug 29, 2009)

OK, just finished writing my grocery list so this writer is off the store. But before I go I'm going to check the oil in the car so this mechanic doesn't have engine trouble down the road. Before I leave I'd better make sure my wife takes her medicine because this doctor wants her to feel better. Almost forgot to water the plants too, this horticulturalist wouldn't want them to get too dry. I'd better add batteries to my grocery list, this electrician wouldn't want the remote to die while watching a movie because this entertainment critic hates to interrupt a movie to change the batteries.
Sassywacky (Nov 3, 2009)
You have a lot to do but it's amazing what you accomplished in between all that. Truly your talent is overwhelming.
Moosh (Nov 4, 2009)
I actually liked the first one better. o.OThis one's great as well, though. Gorgeous lighting.

In progresssss! And the disproportion is intentional.Hint: I don't like drawing bare feet. I do not. Also, I normally don't spend near this much effort on backgrounds. Seeing as this one isn't that big a deal anyways, I guess you can take whatever you want from that statement. XD
firecracker (Nov 9, 2009)
I like this little green guy.....I like his pointy ears.....very cute draw....:) |

The moth from Silence of the Lambs was a Death's Head moth..named so because of the markings on the back of it's head that resembles a skull...http://neatorama.cachefly.net/images/2007-10/deaths-head-hawkmoth.jpg The only thing to make this picture complete is if she were running around in someone elses skin with her weiner tucked in spreading a colorful cloth out behind her as if she were a moth herself... It puts the lotion on da skin...
firecracker (Oct 7, 2009)
"Whew"! That death's head moth is really quite spectacular looking......that really does look like a skull on the back of it's head.....very "creepy".....I guess I'll have to watch that movie all over again, so I can see exactly what that moth looked like.

It's all coming together.

The problem is that you seem to think that this somehow glorifies child abuse when it actually does the opposite. It brings it under a harsh light and presents a haunting image that stays with you, reminding you of how tragic it truly is. This is a tribute to the dignity of suffering children, not their tormentors. If the idea of someone profiting from depicting this offends you in such a way, are you also upset with the people who profit from depicting slavery? You know, the people who made Roots. Or maybe you think Spielberg is a monster for profiting (yes, you had to pay for the tickets and DVDs) from his masterpiece on Nazi persecution of the Jewish population, Schindler's List.
Flubbles (Jul 24, 2009)
There's so much more child abuse going on than people know about, it's images like these that bring about the starkness off it all.
Hierognosis (Oct 17, 2009)
Or maybe she just broke her nose and someone took a picture of her. She doesn't look sad or scared, soo... Either way, the picture is drawn well. Good job on the lights and dark.
