I about shit myself when I saw it... it was either a star dying or a star being born, I forget.... but it looked EXACTLY like an eye.... if that's not inspiration, I dunno what is... I sat in my bedroom up all night after I saw that, and just wrote and wrote and thought and thought and drew and drew.... it was crazy... but I sure as hell remember it well... I thought stuff like... that's the work of God right there... tryin' to open people's eyes... then I thought stuff like... man.. how DOES He handle it all.... then I thought stuff to Him like... whatever Your will for me is... I'm in this with You.... so use me.... then I thought stuff like.... well, He already does, as He does everyone... if you listen. .... and it just went on and on all night... lol TMI(too much information) >.>

Her body and proportions look fairly good, and she does definately look halfway underwater, but I think you went overboard with the blurs. I think parts underwater should be blurred, but I don't see any reason for blurring things such as the outlines on her top or her upper arms.

Actually reminds me of an East Asian mythological animal. Like a Kirin though they're more of a scaled, firey unicorn. The pose is well done too, though it's a rather common one being used for thousands of years. Still a good pose, but maybe try a variety too.

First of all, I believe you mean "lemonade", and I assume you mean "suspenseful", rather than suspensive. As the latter isn't a word.

Also, as far as being half full or half empty, it depends. Did it start out with more, and someone drank some? If so, it's half empty. However, if you just finished pouring the lemonade, and haven't drunk any yet, then it's half full. *shrug*

I agree with VV. It depends on if you just poured some out of the glass, or just poured some in. Poured out=half empty; poured in=half full.

I don't see any checkerboard in it. I see a lot of soothing swirls, though and it's no wonder you felt better when you put the purple. Purple is beautiful. :) I like that shiny look .. it reminds me of melted ice cream or taffy or something (can't quite put my finger on it.)
