I wish solids were more my game but they aren't so Im gonna practice and try to get the feel of it and also learn how to draw clothes with random fun added to 'em. I just got three kitties but the wait has begun and the mother is taking care of them, we're keeping the orange one cause orange cats are awesome.

It does look like a Google image in the thumb, but when you see it as a whole it would make a great design on a nice long sleeved blouse. Ok, I think I got the shopping bug. :)

And because not everybody goes through the entire gallery to see all work in progress I'm seeking attention this way. My goal is to make this nude without using a reference, can any of you give me pointers on where I might be wrong anatomically or otherwise (skin tone, pose, etc.). To me it looks okay right now, but what do I know, ghe ghe. It'd make me very happy, because otherwise comments might be given after I put it on finished, which would...

this thing is addictive, please tell me what should I change in the face or if it needs something to get fixed =)

The eyelashes look just a bit choppy to me, you can fix it somewhat by zooming in real close and erasing in a tapered matter. It took a while to figure this out, but when you have a 1 pixel brush and you set the slide under opacity and then flow, to the indication mark, you'll get the thinnest lines. Hope you find this usefull.Otherwise it looks good so far, that scrunched up mouth is funny. done!

It's a very cute little scrunchypout. The hair looks kinda odd, like it's a solid sheet of something with sharp edges? I like the eyes

Sh'es pretty, and I like her pose. The hairs my favorite part actually.I'd say the mouth is a bit too high, too near her nose. Just needs to be lowered a little. The shape of her head is odd, when you look at a face at this angle it starts off as you have it on the forehead, turns in at the eye, then the cheek (all of which looks right) but it doesn't curve so sharply in towards the neck, it flares out just a bit as it get's to the chin, then forms the chin (I don't know if any of that makes sense, it's so much easier doing than writing) Her chin looks big but that may be because the mouth is so high, but you may need to make it smaller, course that would make her neck too long, so you'd have to lower her head slightly, and move it to our right a bit, it's jutting out just a tad too much (I make that mistake a lot as well) What Joy said about the lashes were correct. They look too cupie doll. By looking at natural lashes you see they're longer on the outside eye and nearly non-existent as they get towards the inside. Erase most of the lashes on the inner parts of the eyes (upper and lower) and make them longer and more tapered on the outer. And the brows could use some plucking :) One last thing, if you erase the extra part of the finger and just leave the tips (and make them just a little smaller) they'd fit better. These are just suggestions, observations, smart allecky know it all stuff. You can just take it in for next time or not. |

Hope you don't mind me spouting out some tips for you.Don't use the fill tool. Take more time to do the linework for a smoother effect, it looks a bit choppy now. Check the wiki help page for the different styles of brushes, opacity and flow possibilities. Never ever use the fill tool. It is very handy to make use of layers, over at wiki there is a very useful tutorial on the several tools Lascaux has. Reading anatomy books or looking at pictures of people in certain poses help with human bodies, it looks like his right foot is on backwards, now it seems as if we see the sole of his foot. And finally, don't take it all the wrong way, and don't even take my opinion too serious, there are way better artists over here to give useful tips, but these are a few of the most common things you'd like to know.

I drew this by hand but I know my digital portraits are better than my hand drawn for some odd reason. I guess I can get detail done better with a mouse and tablet then with pencil and paper. Here is the Picture I drew it from.

So good to see you back Rosalyn. This is just amazing, what gets me is the goetee, it's so soft, not harsh at all, and it each has it's on point/plu on the skin. Wonderful.

This is Oliver, the next OC of mine. Oliver is Sora's older brother. He's 14 years old, and like Sora, is an ermine. I created him when I was in 8th grade, when I started watching the food network a lot. His name Oliver sounds like Olive, so that's why he has olive green hair and reddish-orange eyes (sort of like... spanish olives?). Oliver's a total bibliophile, and spends all of his time in his room or in the library reading books. He spends so much time by himself that he doesn't really have any friends, nor does he really talk to other people. ^^; Lawls, this is the first picture I ever drew of him.

I really hope you'll keep drawing once you're all growed up. Will check in a minute your exact age, but if I'm not mistaken it was much older than 14, right?! Edit: yup I was right, 14... I admire your eye for the softer colors and smooth lines. :D
