I think I see what you did, here... each version is like a separate piece of work, a transformation from turbulence into calm. This was really a neat idea, and the final picture does give you a feeling of tranquility - although she does still look a little sad and hopeless.

Dude, Marcello... thanks!! When I said "draw a Black Mage" I didn't think I'd get this. :) The Orko refrence is funny, because it's true; but in any case this Black Mage is better than Vivi could ever be! This is nice! I love the color blue.The anime is is very nice. The real eye, is good but it needs a few adjustments. 1. The solid white doesn't look so "real". Mabby use watercolor, it will make it mucho better. Also (like bumpinthenight said) Needs eye lashes on the bottom. Its still good though. ;)
