Layers are your friend. Learn to use 'em and love 'em. Also, using the shape tools only hurts your improvement. Cute idea, though.

My first attempt at a serious Oekaki. I play FFXI and use a Mithra THF character (52 THF/26 NIN). I used direct reference from the game (convienence of having PS2 version :D).

Yes, I know this is crapful... and I sucked at the 'evil grin' expression too. Some day, I'll get better... maybe....

Looks pretty good to me, evil grin and all but I'm definitely no expert on this kind of stuff. If you don't like it, keep practicing and you'll get better. I still say it's pretty good, though.

Random facts:
1. Tia did not go on a long artistic journey and returned as an artistic god. ...If you didn't notice.
2. Tia might not oekaki again for another year.
3. Tia hates dodge and burn tools and does not use them normally.
4. Where is the smudge tool!? I can not live without it! (Don't answer that if there is something besides that stupid blur tool.)
5. That is Tia's character... Tiarana! Yes, we know.
6. The purple! The purple!
7. The compression! AGH!
8. Swear I made a solemn promise to myself not to do that background-full-of-dots thing after that zombie-in-the-snow picture...
