you use the other side of the brain? you mean, just take a picture, and view it very objectively, minus any meaning to the picture? your brain just photographs it literally?

It results in forcing you to see more accurately what you're looking at rather than drawing a preconceived notion of what something looks like. Everyone does that unconsciously. I had artist's block. Couldn't think of nothin' to draw. So one day I asked someone to name a random object. He said candle. So this is what I drew. While looking for ref. pics... I came across this one. The smoke intrigued me. So there it is.

I love looking at Tornados! TWISTER was one of my favorite movies. Nature is awesome, as long as your not directly in its path. :)Late comment but this picture is Nice! Look at the way the grass and everything else looks highlighted. :D
