edit: Alrighty.....I really can't stand looking at this picture in my pile of unfinished work. And I really don't feel as if I can finish it either. It does not really remind me of Shinya at all, his face just looks completely different from what I was trying to get off my reference saved in my computer. I am sorry for anyone who wanted to see this done but I am not going to finish it unless someone can really convince me to do so.

Thanks guys :) and yes that is snow on him StrawberryYamichan :) this is a male cardinal perched on a branch during a light snow, the photo that I used as a reference looks much better and it did not have the snow, but because I was not able to do the detail work on his body, I added the snow flurries :)
