Has anyone here used Prismacolor Markers? Got any opinions on them? My sister wants to buy them for me for my birthday (which, incidentally, isn't until April), but I told her I wanted to get some opinions on them before she spent the money. So, have you purchased them? How much did you pay? (Comparison shopping, haha.) What do you like or dislike about them? How do they compare to other art markers like Copic? (- if you have used other markers.) Would you recommend a certain set? (If so,...

I'm still trying to figure out this long cat.Good shading, coloring and lineart, but her head seems too small for her body and her chin is too pointy. As well her bodies too wide, if the head were bigger it wouldn't look that strange but there's a discrepency between the two. You can fix that by making the head bigger, or simply thinning her out a bit by bringing the left side (on our right) in a bit. Instead of starting by the arm where you have make it nearer the underarm, and bringing her left arm in and resizing the shoulders. Her right hand is off too but I know how hard hands are. And the purple bg doesn't fit, maybe if you used the yellow from her gloves to tie it all in. It's great though, strange, but great.

Why thank you DK, frankly his face is a little off (his nose was driving me bonkers) but I didn't want to spend an uber amount of time on it. He's mah boy, yes. And man does he eat it. A gastrinomical feast of sugery goodness. :D Tankie my friends.

If you use Oekaki Shi-Painter instead of Lascaux Sketch, my question is: what do you use in shi-painter that you find lacking in Lascaux? What would you like to see in Lascaux to consider using it?

Late in commenting, just catching up now. So nice for a first piece, reallt wonderful. It's a treat to have newcomer's with this kind of talent. I agree on the red (you used more a fire engine red that a cherry, I noticed that's what makes this particularly nice on the eyes) and flutterbyes, we all love flutterbyes. Hope you stick around. This is so wonderful. There aren't enough pictures with subtle colors like these that work so well. Who knew muted browns, blues, yellows, and pinks could look so luscious. Another pic that looks like it came from a storybook. And those pretty subtle shades. Needs more comments people. |

I never used a laptop so I don't know how hard it is to use but I understand it can be painful on the finger. It's well done however you did it.fixed up a bit.

Fixed the face again because I really preferred the the feel of the first version than the latter ones. My laptop's touchpad is just harder to control than I'm used to. My laptop also lacks a mouse port. :[

What wonderful colors, so bold and bright, and such a cute expression. Not many firsts are this good and when they are they stand out. Well done Akino, welcome, glad your here. I just want to say, and this isn't meant to be bad, the neck's a little thick, maybe thin out the right side more and curve it in, but other than that, great first piece.
