shes wondering which piece got deleted and why it was ten points taken off when it was only a 5 point piece lol. i really wish when theres an unusual situation like that and double points are taken off the mod could take a sec to explain why. i understand u folks dont have all the timein the world but hey, if i earn 5 points, and its deleted and i lose 5 points, i understand, but i lost ten and id like to have known why.
marcello (Feb 3, 2004)
Time for lesson on points!!!Ok, first, you submit something as unfinished, you get NO points!! wooO! Now, you set it to finished, and woo you get points!!! woo!!! 5 on beginner!!! Ok now someone deletes it, not only do you lose the 5 points you got, but 5 more points to remind you to follow the rules. So that's losing 10 points, but only 5 more than you originally had. But wait, what if it was deleted before it was set to finished? You never got 5 points in the first place, so you don't lose those 5, you just lose 5 points to remind you to follow the rules. So, you depending how many points you got for submitting the picture will affect how many you lose. If it was unfinished, you never got any.

well now...that sucks lol. i fully understand the system points now..thanks marcello, and my apologies to Merulotte, u were right i was wrong... i STILL think reasons should be given for deletions tho lol..i know i know i'll shut up about it now :O)
marcello (Feb 3, 2004)
In general the reason is "spend more time on your drawing" or "put more (obvious) effort into your drawing"In this case I'd probably say something like "don't use the freaking texture tools they make a picture look crap" ok it was a crappy statementnow its mundane rainbow lace

ok ive spent 45 minutes trying to figure out layers...ive tried to get to the tutorials, the help section, the site doc( i think i may have misunderstood that one lol), to no avail. my goal is to post something on the intermediate board, and i wont feel "qualified" to do that until i can actually use all the bells and whistles( i'm not even sure i've discovered all the bells and whistles lol). i chose the classroom setting to pose my query because i think im the oldest one here lol. its only meant as a comment, not a put down...hey some of my best friends are teenagers( my daughter is nearly a teenager). now one last quick ? the tutorials and all that said they were under construction....does that mean that one day soon i can go there instead of bugging u guys? :o) |

i was playing witht eh different textures and it looked to me like the fabric of an old womans winter coat, then she looked so sad and i didnt want her to be sad so i drew the ghost of her husband always near her.

dixielandcutie (Jan 27, 2004)
thats really pretty!...maybe you could add a windowsill for the cat to sit on? hehe but very pretty!thanks for noting that shadow, while a wonderful cat, was NOT a magical floating kitty lol,and i made a mistake along the bottom and couldnt seem to fix it so im faking it and calling it frost...im sure this layering is easier than it seems. lol
