N00bish thing to do but, I need advice on how you people who can do line art, do line art.
I find it just so hard to do.

I think he's asking about the form more than the technical aspect of smooth lineart...
I would say for starters your blue-base figure drawing is completely the wrong way to go about doing it. Although I'm no anatomy expert myself, I can tell off the bat there that how you did the arms and how the head connects to the neck on the blue sketch doesn't look right. I would suggest, in addition to looking at animations on this site, looking at books/websites on the subject, to work with more of a stick figure style drawing with circles/ellipses (handdrawn, that is) to build form. Think about how everything connects to eachother, and what relative lengths should be, and that will get you off on a better start.
Once you have a good base form, getting a good flowing lineart that you're satisfied with simply takes practice. I highly recommend practicing on paper, though, since you can whip out 30 or 40 different designs until you like something without all the "overhead" of drawing online.

I can do better with lieart on Oekaki Shi-Painter. Seems to be easier for me.... but thats just me and I'm not a lineart specialist LOL
So... I'll be taking Marcello's advice as well =-)

It's full of absolutely nothing.
I had so many things I wanted to do with it, and it came out like this.
Yay for sticking with random image sizes 2Draw gives you!

Fearsome Oekaki is (or was) a fun place to draw, you can draw just about anything you want, they only ask that you put a certain level of effort into your work, basically at the Intermediate level or higher. I've been drawing on Fearsome Oekaki for a while now and have never had a problem with the administration. Lately, I've been drawing with a different style that is a bit more sketchy and abstract (you may or may not have noticed this on 2Draw), most people can tell it's just as complex as any other style I've used. I've drawn 2-3 drawings in my new style on Fearsome in the last two weeks and they turned out great, in fact, I've received a lot of positive comments on those drawings.

Yesterday I drew another piece in my new style on Fearsome, specifically, a face, which again received some great praise, in fact, a couple people said they wanted to "have my babies", hehe. NOW, this is where everything goes to shit, an "administrator" left a comment on my drawing that says:

"some of the thicker lines in this have a lot of voids. I must ask that you draw your lines more cleanly in the future. See rule #3 for more info. I would also appreciate it if you cleaned up this drawing."

Here is rule #3: You are expected to put your best effort into whatever you do. Work that shows no effort is subject to deletion.

I spent over an hour on this drawing and it's hardly a bad effort, take a look http://www.fearsome-oekaki.com/pics/461.png. Almost every drawing on that site could be deleted if rule #3 was enforced. I replied to the administrator's comment, explaining the obvious hypocrisy of his comments (his drawings are at the beginner level, at best). My reply, of course, only made him angry, logic seems to do that to really thickheaded people. The Feurer was awoken! You can read his resulting babble by clicking or cutting and pasting this link http://www.fearsome-oekaki.com/#461 I'll probably leave one last comment on the said drawing, which will probably get me kicked off Fearsome.

Just thought I'd share, bitch, complain, what have you. I couldn't let such bullshit go by without exposing it, needless to say, if someone or something pisses me off, you'll probably see a drawing about it.

You really shouldn't expect much from people on the internet.
NemesisT (Jan 26, 2005)

I bet you're gorgeous and just don't know it.

Well, this one in the picture certainly is, she'd look awesome with highlights in her hair.

Wah. So pretty. I isht envious of your skillz. T__T
Great work, though. I love the soft colors. Even the black seems so soft, even though it's... Black. O_o;; Fwah... I love the whole thing. ^_^
I do agree, it would look good with highligts in the hair. BUT. Simplicity is the key to happiness. XD So you could leave it like this and it'd still look just fine. ^_^
Beautiful picture, great job.
