It's not necessary to try to change the tusks to make them "this or that", "correct" anything, or whatever.... it's obviously not meant to be realism. It's surreal and dreamy, then the tusks give it a sharp edginess I like. Kind of like the personality of elephants, so sweet and loyal, family oriented, but when threatened can be extremely vicious, enacting intelligently planned revenges, even. I love ephalumps, love the picture.

The Problem: Ok, I have used chibipaint for drawing very often lately. However, its been working differently than before. For example, lets say I draw on layer 1, then I go to layer 2 that is below layer 1. I draw on layer 2 and all of the strokes disappear when I go back to layer 1. In other words I can only see the highest layer and nothing below it. How can I change the layer setting to make all layers visible even if one is on top of the other? Puppy chewed through the cable on my Wacom so I no longer have a drawing tablet. I did, however, sign up with a life drawing group at a local art gallery. Starts next Tuesday, so, wish me luck. It's been a long time since I drew anything on...what's that stuff called again? Oh, yeah, paper!

A birthday card for my daughter......she loves unicorns. I'm not finished with it yet.....I hope I can get it looking the way I want it......a very frustrating draw.....nothing seems to be working right, but I wanted to do this for my daughter......:) Well....I'm posting this as "finished".....I tried to do more to it.....but I was just "messin' it up, so I'm not gonna do any more to it....:)

I thought this wouldn't be hard, but her expression is very subtle and I still didn't get it right. I redrew everything many times but I think it's close enough to call done. It didn't help that the original is burry/grainy, so details were hard to figure out.original- link
