Now there's an interesting concept! He's floating...
TammyF (Nov 14, 2006)
The creative flow just stopped flowing here. Thought I would post it and get it off my unfinished. Might go back to it someday.

davincipoppalag (Nov 13, 2006)
I missed it too.... lol bet that kid is gonna take a header when she hits the throw rug!
TammyF (Nov 14, 2006)
LOL!!! Thanks for sharing that!! I can just see it, feet flying in the air, crumpled up rug, dazed-what the heck just happened expression, and then get up and do it again!!!

davincipoppalag (Oct 30, 2006)
Ha! Happy Halloween Christine! Hehe this is great
TammyF (Oct 30, 2006)
A couple things I really like here are the color and the ability to save work and come back to it later to touch it up. It took me awhile to figure out the tools but it's so much fun learning the different things that can be done here!! I hope that the colors have lifted your spirits.
cmb (Oct 31, 2006)

Ah. Contests are sometimes good sources of inspiration for me. I've been wanting to draw a zombie for ages.

I need a tablet but muuuust master the mouse.

Ajdkahjdhaksj;; *just literally fried her compy* I need to go find the reference picture again D;

I like this. Unique style! Kind-of has a feel to it like Tim Burton's "Corpse Bride" movie except yours is lighter. (hope that makes sense)
IkariIreuL (Oct 15, 2006)
hehe, that was the zombie that I was looking for.
julianapegas (Oct 30, 2006)
If ou already are that great with the mouse, imagine when you buy a tablet! :D
But c'mon now, don't try to master the mouse... it can do harm to hour hands and especially wrists. A tablet with average pressure sensitivity is not expensive, and much more ergonomical. And when you try it, you'll never want to work with the mouse again ;D

shizuki (Oct 24, 2006)
He walked, one hand holding on to the brightly burning light, the other clenching a clumsily made wooden cross. With forced courage he continued on his path, the moon lighting up his steps while the shadows swallowed the light imprints behind him. Tonight, the crescent was a stark yellow smudge on the deep colors of the night sky; everything else was stained a sickly red.

He was here for all the wrong reasons. Nothing had gone according to the fool-proofed plan, and the worrying possibility of death nagged at him. He drew his eyebrows together – his all too familiar action when he was nervous – and looked straight ahead of him. The rickety road went beyond the horizon, and disappeared into the murky depths of the atmospheric haze.

“Oh, this is just perfect,” He mumbled sarcastically, “another hundred miles or so and I will reach my unknown destination!”

The sudden caw of a crow replied him, and he started in mild surprise. A darkened shape of a bird flitted past his head, and was gone in the next second. He calmed his hastened breaths and relaxed his stance once again, when he realized there was no danger.

He asked himself, for the second time that day, why he had gotten into this particular line of profession. Being a vampire hunter was probably equivalent to suicide.

I love the painted feel to this. wonderful colors and lines!
TammyF (Oct 25, 2006)
This is great! Resembles Van Gogh's impressionism work!!
Sweetcell (Oct 25, 2006)
The way you sketched it gives a feeling of foreboding. And I love part of the story. Hope you continue it.

Maybe he should try another line of work, like flower arranging. Less dangerous. :)
shizuki (Oct 29, 2006)
Rofl! Flower arrangement sounds like a low-risk job... unless some monster venus flytrap decides to eat him up. *___*

Thanks for the comments. :D

Very nicely done! Especially the mouth with glossy lips...
But I do not like Jenny from the block. :P
You should be proud because it actually reminds me of her, which gives me an unpleasant feeling ^^
