Plato's Parable of the Cave
TRIP (edited Apr 29, 2005)
I was told to sketch this yesterday on binder paper in class. I felt it deserved a more finite interperative piece; If you don't understand, read the parable again :) if you do, here's a question; If someone forces you to turn around and face reality, what will it look like to you? Will it be that feild of ever changing freedom and beauty?... Or will it be just another cave wall?

Adobe Photoshop Tutorial- Artwork/Lineart Coloring Prep
TRIP (Apr 30, 2005)
I see more and more tutorials springing up across the net advising people to only use the 'multiply' function on their base lineart to color under it. How about having the lineart truly isolated from its original plain background? Just a layer itself with nothing else but the pre-existing image before color :) FOR: Adobe Photoshop 5.0-CS. I'm not too familiar with 4.0 and later. I'm sure some of them dont have channel pallate or transparency options :/ Advantages to this method: -extreml...

Now that i have enough money... which tablet?
HunterKiller_ (edited Apr 25, 2005)
Obviously the choice is down to the Wacom Intuos and Graphire series. Help please! Even though i bought a really good (not to mention expensive) optical mouse earlier, it just doesn't feel natural drawing with a mouse >=( So i'm going for the tablet. Apparantly the Graphire3 i think it was has some software issues, so if you are currently using a one of these Wacom tablets, please let me know of any problems you have encountered. EDIT: Well, i just did some homework and found out that the G...

I remember you from a time when my mind was less tainted.
I remember you from when a sky was blue and the grass was green.
I remember you being there.
The only one for me.

This is just ...."trippy". (Pun intended.. okay, you don't have to laugh) When I look at this the angles make me feel like my equilibrium is a bit off... great effect with the perspective.
davincipoppalag (May 1, 2005)
This is a grabber.. The colors,, the perspective, the whole scene..great stuff

you know, i had a dream once about a six-winged red dragon. This is really awesome, the colors give it a really ethereal feeling
SooRa (edited Feb 15, 2008)
wow, that's literally one of the nicest images I have seen in awhile when it comes to oekaki. The lines, the blending, and compostion are very smooth and well done. It flows nicely and has no hard edges. It has a dreamlike quality. ♪ I also really love how you made the color of the clouds relfective on the scales of the body. ♥
