Well I absolutely love this. This is my favorite of yours and it shows how far you've come to improving. It's adorable Kitty. The only things that throw me off is that line in front of her ear and the snowman but they're quibbles. Well done Kitty. Keep going girl.

Hmmn, I have to say that this picture looks bettter than previous work you have done. Indeed. Other than that, the time you spend on a drawing DOES NOT determine weather it is beginner/Intermediate/Advanced.

No sweet, it's not a "déja vu" we did go through this already. And I fear we will have to repeat it quite a few times.

I like rainbow path better cuz its more fun!!! EDIT:every time I Submit a lasaux drawing it appears as error.

The eye seems odd. I think it's too high and too close to the nose. If you look you'll see that eyes rest between the bridge of the nose and the forehead, and when in a profile you don't see the full eye, it would be more like a sideways > with the pupil rounded out. One other thing to keep in mind, the chin and forehead are normally even with the nose jutting out. It's a good way to make profiles symmetrical.

Yes this is cute, but I don't feel it's Intermediate. As a newcomer it's reccomended to start in begginers before making your way up to the other boards. Welcome.

For a sprite picture I feel it's allright. The nose needs to be lowered and try some highlights on the hair and eyes for more contrast. Overall it's good. Just spend more time on your pieces.

I've always liked this style, and the trees in the background look really neat.

As for your comment on the glasses, to me it more seems that the angle of the nose is just a smidge off which in turn makes the sunglasses seem like they're at a funny angle or broken or something.
I think maybe if you adjusted the nose ever so slightly towards his left lens (our right) it would look less "stumpy" hehe :)

Barb, no offense taken, and your comment certainly does not sound mean. I looked at the same view tonight to see if the bottom of the pic was what I might work out. It is actually a striped lot and another streetlight. What if any are your thoughts on finishing..?? Jillj

I think what it is, is it looks sketchy. Especially the streaks coming from the lamp post. If you were to try using blend and just feather those linesout they wouldn't be as stark. Put some shading on the left side of the post for contrast, use the dark green on the bottom to blend into the trees so they don't look like they're floating, and work a little more on the sky it would look more polished. These are just suggestions. I know it's hard sometimes to get critique. I do like this, just needs tweaking I feel.
