I have been thinking how we could work best as a team. Composition and feel of colors are 2 issues. So I searched for a black and white ref which will be the composition-guideline:

Thereis one who can help who turns the wheel from non-existence to a sweet breathing emptiness. - Rumi I went about this very messily, but I enjoyed it anyway... this would be fanart, I guess, of a pic in my calendar... you may see more art (better art) like this @ www. brushdance.com

It's very beautiful and also interesting to look at....I used comic books as my inspiration for anatomy all the time when I first started oekaki..but now I don't need them...and i think eventually you will be able to come up with more original pieces....you are a great artist and we all have faith in you...:)

lori, we all go through that, when we were young our imaginations could keep us drawing all day long, then we age and life sucks the imagination and magic right out of our minds and hearts, so don't feel bad, we all have that issue, I have things floating up in my head but can't seem to lasso them and put them down on paper, the way my mind's eye sees them, that is probably why I get stuck using photo ref. so much, it is easier than frustrating my self to death trying to pick my brain and make my hands produce what my mind sees....oh such is the life of a cynic...lol

This is for Silvair. The Bunichi picture was absolutely perfect! I didn't know how else to thank you besides draw something for you, too.Sorry though, I'm a bad color matcher. EDIT: Many thanks to the moderator who gave me the extra space! I was surprised when I saw it. I wish I knew who did it, though. EDIT2: WHOA-HO, showcase? My first showcase? dude, how could this not make it to the Showcase?? haven't seen one of these styles in a very, very long time! you did an excellent job, I knew instantly that it was Van Gogh. I like your take on this too because you didn't try to make it look exactly like it, and there's a blur in parts of it that makes it look softer compared to the orig. that has all the intricate details, which seem quite intense and sharp. But you still did great.

So... it's Saturday night and I'm all alone and feelin' kinda blue, and then I hear this sound on my wooden living room floor... jingle, jangle... jingle..., I poke my head around the corner, and it's a long, tall redheaded cowboy named Brian that I have known since he was a little boy, and he tips his hat and says "Lookin' gorgeous Ma'am, as always", and grins. Yes, that's my coffee table, and he can put his feet up there anytime (that's why I have a coffee table made of wood, just like the floor :) and spit in a can while he sits on my couch. Ain't no bitchin' 'bout that kind of behavior around here, because sweet, well-mannered cowboys always make my blues go away. :DBrian manages one of the large ranches just a skip from my house. He had his spurs custom made and I think they're cool because they're a clover, (and the rowels are rounded on the ends so they're gentle to the horses) so I decided to take a picture and paint them.

This look like those potato chip chairs from the 70's turned upside down. If looked at it that way this has a very realistic feel to it. Like artistic photography. Am I making any sense?

I love to draw this style! ^ 3 ^ Drawing makes me think. Also, when I listen to certain types of music (mostly j-pop) it affects my drawing. Is this scientifically proven? xDAnyway, here you are. Just added some blushies :3
