sincity (Jun 24, 2005)
Great job on this one. I never really got into his music. He was alot like Dio, but with more of an operato singing style to it.

Yes, i knew someone would not like that i didn't draw a background. But i drew it this way because i wanted it like that..clean. And i was going to use it for my icon (i hadn't drawn one for it yet and didnt have time to make it my icon yesterday). Thanks for the comments though

Its a sheep called Mint Sauce that rides a bike. Own interpretation taken from the comic in Mountain Biking UK magazine (aka MBUK).

JackSprat (Aug 19, 2004)
This is awesome! wait...is there an echo in here? Nice clean lines, great piece with interesting action. LOL...too funny! I love how you've achieved depth in the tree with different colors. The sky is great too...lol...I just love this toon!
Axil62 (Aug 19, 2004)
It is great. The balance between toonland and real world is perfect. Not to mention the cool swoopy action of the bike and rider. The fact that the bike is leaning like that really adds more to it than you may think.
Aubrey (Aug 19, 2004)
I want the camera to follow him and see more trickssss *sniffles* It's just not meant to be :'( This is a really neat picture Brain and who knew sheep could be so talented? lol

V1
1: This is the scalpula draconis, it suports the wing.
2: there are 4 fingers, the inner most one is like a thumb.
3: the enlongated arm of the wing.
4: there are different wing structures for different dragons. the most common have 4 long fingers that support most of the wing surface. there is also a thumb.
5: some dragons have spines or frills.
V2
1: the alar pectoral is the main flight muscule, used in th downstroke
2: the alar lattisimus dorsai draws the wing up and back
3:the alar deltoid and cleidomastoid draw the wing up and forward
4: the alar tricep and bicep fold the and unfold the wings
5: the alar carpi ulnaris and carpi radialus allow the wing to twist
6: the tail and neck muscules are good for crushing and bashing people
V4
1: the horns of the dragon can be any shape size texture or colour
2: the belly scales can be large plates or leathery skin, the colour is usually a shade lighter than the dragon
3: the body scales can be plates, spikes, pebbled, or whatever you can think of. the colour is up to you.
4: the skin covering the wings and frill is just skin, no scales.

my compliments to the Draconomicon for this lesson.

NO DRACONUS FUNDEMENTUM?!
15grifficorntears (Aug 8, 2004)
oops, sorry. the draconis fundementum is the gland possesed only by true dragons. the DF is attatched to the heart and is the source of the dragons elemental energy. the dragons blood passes through this gland and gives the dragon enormous energy. the DF powers the dragons breath weapon.
Sutafani (Aug 9, 2004)
cool, how do you know so much about dragons?
Ty854 (Aug 9, 2004)
Cool, I'll have to try and draw a dragon sometime. I think the colors on this dragon are beautiful.

"The little finger side of the hand sets across the
end of the forearm at a sharper angle than does the
thumb side.
It is narrower and never wholly conceals the rest
of the hand.
The pisiform bone, or heel of the hand, is always
conspicuous on the lower side of the wrist.
To it attaches the flexor carpi ulnaris muscle,
corresponding with the tendon of Achilles.

1 Pisiform (pea-sgaped) bone.

2 Flexor carpi ulinaris.

Sure! I'm sure he won't mind if we both show up to borrow his book. :)
Axil62 (Sep 7, 2004)
Most certainly. Say, just a thought, how do you two feel about jello wrestling? You know, just in case there's some sort of unfortunate dispute over who get's the book...not for me you understand...just trying to figure out a fair deal for you girls is all.

I tried to give it that semi-quick watercolor & ink kinda feel. Sometimes "simple" works pretty good and it's just fun.

When they flew in formation, it was awsome!! I used to climb the fence at the airfield when they were ferrying them cross country.
Aubrey (Aug 19, 2004)
Yep sometimes less is more. This is one a those times for sure. I like this kinda style very much :-D

I like the truly mystical feel about it... or is it mysterious? Tell the truth, it reminds me of a book I read at one time and can't quite remember... but I still love it!
