I came across a photo showing this really cool Asian wall art a few years ago and hung on to it hoping to try my hand at this in my home one day.. they use paper that's bent and creased in just the right places & then mount them onto the wall, then they used directional light positioned just right to cast shadows of face profiles made by the bent paper...I thought it was quite clever! Since I haven't taken the time to try it first hand, I decided I'd draw it instead!! =) Kewl huh?

Well, this thing was the death of me.

I know I'm kinda' late on the whole self-portrait extravaganza, but I thought it would be fun...ha, don't ask me what I was on the day I decided to try it out.

I suppose it's finished...arrr. Spent more time on it than expected, and it's larger than I expected. I'm freaking tired of realism.

I dunno their names, but they're cute for sure. It's been rough here at home for awhile.. I'm sorry it's taken so long ta get em up here D, but just ta show you how it's comin along.. the lil girly will pop up in a day or two :) I hope you enjoy it as much as I'm enjoying drawing them. The only thing better than super special kids is knowing they have super special parents taking care of them :) Your friendship is somethin I'll always remember, and never take for granted.
