This is great. Brings back memories when I drew link. I think links face in this picture should be a little wider, though. And the smile just doesn't seem right, but, theres a lot of good things in it. I love the eye brows, you got them exactly like they should be, and the eyes. Those eyes are the easiest to draw. The shading is great. :) Although, the background could be a bit more interesting, over all this is good.

Trying out some realism...didn't work too well for me...well, in any case, I'm still working on this once! A reference was used, as well.I should also mention that my computer's monitor is ridiculously dark. Yes, I know what those little knobs are, and no, it can't be fixed. That's just the way it is. :( So if it looks like your looking at a faceless ghost, turn down your monitor's brightness a little. :/

Lineart done using the line tool, everything else was freehand.His body and wings were entirely painted with no use of dodge or burn *nods* I gave in on the background though >> << He does have arms...they're just behind his wings. That's a tattoo on his shoulder. His wings are actually white but I often like to shade white with blue to give it a more pristine look. His hair bugs me... Its supposed to look a little misted...like a dream.

The face and ear are both done very nicely. I think the space between the bangs and the rest of his hair should be a little closer maybe though? It's maybe a little too blurry for me but it's still nice. I do like the background, nice colors.
