Delicate handful
laurael
(Feb 9, 2004)
A pic I came across that I couldn't resist...too cute. Altered it just a bit.
laurael (edited Mar 28, 2004)
Uh...who's mad? I'm not mad... I 'did' laugh at your comment about the five heads...! Hilarious...
Childlike_Vampire (Feb 12, 2004)
lol Well, I suppose mad wasn't the right word. No worries, lol. And this is still a great pic. They look so soft!
laurael (Feb 13, 2004)
No worries here either. Love your pics btw...wonderful talent.
Alicia (Feb 17, 2004)
This is so neat. the creatures look more like baby chip munks.I see some as I walk to work , they like to hang around some thickets on the side of the railroad .One day, I looked under a bush after hearing leaves russle. This time a rat was looking up at me. I didn't think it was cute! |

So I attempted some random monster thing...I'm sure this should be in the beginners board or something.
Deformed (Feb 2, 2004)
i think the bluring makes it look awsome!!!!
Toan (Feb 2, 2004)
ooooh...neato. ::nods:: That's pretty well done.
Neko (Feb 3, 2004)
Woot, the action. :o He (it?) really looks like his exemplar.
Pkingsora (Feb 16, 2004)

I had a photo obviously... I can't imagine stuff for beans yet. Working on that though... on paper ;)
Look (Feb 4, 2004)
That's so nice. I like the rough coloring, kind of like oil pastel. I think you should add a little lighting to the nose tip. and one of the eye seems a little higher than the otherI'm so glad to have "free" time again! Last week I spent too much time prepping for a dance competition... glad to be back trying to draw.
Ok. *drops it* I lost my ref so I screwed with it... this version is ultimately cos I submitted then immediately thought it needed to be darker....I really can't blend.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Feb 10, 2004)
I think it's terrific. It's way better than some of the crap I post in the advanced section. |

A quick picture to state that I am here, and to test out this so-called wonderful drawing program. I think I'll stick with Paint BBS. I draw on oekakis. I usually draw 50 times better than this. But this place looks pretty awesome, aside form the fact that none of the pictures I've seen so far has gotten over 3 comments.
Soshell (Feb 6, 2004)
i always use oekaki-shi because its just plain easier...i dont care about the unlimited layers cuz ..i mean layers are good to have and all but ...i've never used more than four heh. i dont get lascaux at all, but if some people can use it without getting confused then more power to them :) i like this pic its very good for a first
marcello (Feb 6, 2004)
remind me to make a survey as to how people like lascaux... I mean, I and many others find it way easier to use than shipainter advanced...
dixielandcutie (Feb 6, 2004)
honestly lascaux is my favorite...the others are much harder to control in my opinion
Neko (Feb 9, 2004)
Welcome! It's a very nice pic, but maybe it lacks detail? Then again, it's only a quick drawing, ne. |

A lonely island in the middle of a great ocean.....so it is a desert island with a palm. and (logically enough :P) a sandcastle.. ^^
joe_shmo (Feb 6, 2004)
i mean its good and everything but i dont think its really intermediate quality, i really like your gradiating of the sky and water if you spend some more time on this it could be really good
Soshell (Feb 6, 2004)
oh the irony is killing me! how did that sandcastle get there? surely the tree didnt do it...maybe the island had a brief visitor that likes to build sandcastles on deserted islands :-p
Tuukke (edited Feb 6, 2004)
heh, yeah.. it is "finished" but i maybe will continue it.. :P thx for the feedback, ill make my pictures more exact or sunthin' now on.. ..and i'll add to this also that my other (lot better maybe?) picture is called "warbanana".. |

This is my very first oekaki. hehe.. it's actually not as hard as I thought. It's just strange using only three or two layers...
marcello (Jan 17, 2004)
you might like lascaux sketch better then, it has unlimited layers
Sotalean (Jan 20, 2004)
Heh... You use one layer per color or area. One for shading.. one for higlights.. one for the inked version... one for details... one for metallic details.. yeah..
Soshell (edited Feb 1, 2004)
i've tried to use lascaux sketch but i seriously dont get it...plus im pretty sure you can get more than three layers on shi painter and i dont need more than that..i dont think i've used more than four layers ever.. oh and nice pic btw :)
Sotalean (Feb 3, 2004)
But I don't usually use this program... or... for that matter any program that's run off of the net. I like to use Photoshop 7.0 and I go for details. The outline... I've never done an outline on the computer before except for on this program because you can't upload them. Otherwise.. I would. Meh.. *shrugs* I'm not a really big fan of this program but it keeps me busy during Computer class. |
