Rembrandt's selfportrait. Using a reference. Just an experiment.

I can never get it exactly like the master himself, but I'm pretty damn proud about it!

LMAO...
KuteDymples (May 28, 2007)
I agree with you about some of the comments over to Senile, but I guess the thing that draws me over there is that shi painter 1.8 I love that program. I wish we had it here or over to Ginkgo. Maybe by the time I get really good at it they will update it here, or over to my other fav. place. I go over to Senile about once a day to check things out, but as far as posting a bunch I won't be doing that. I can see they are a lot younger, and don't put a lot of effort into thier drawings or comments. I have seen some pretty drawings, but like you said We can spend 2-3 hours on something and someone that puts no effort into their stuff will give a negatively sounding comment. Ooooo KKkkkk! LOL It was just sort of a challenge for me to figure it out, since I almost have it, it is losing it's appeal.

Naw, I'm not that desperate for inspiration. :)
Kloxboy (May 22, 2007)
Piss paintings are pretty interesting, very involved too. They're easier to control and stink less than shit paintings.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (May 22, 2007)
haha... I know you, you've been in the pasture, you've been in the barn, and you've been in the city. You've been AROUND!!!! You're not a stranger anywhere. :) You've done such a wonderful job on the bullshit painting, I think the sequil to this should be a very involved piss painting. Whaddaya say? :D

Nice portrait. :)

So creative. You're very good with portraits.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (May 21, 2007)
This reminds me of the little Bible school song... red and yellow, black and white... they are precious in His sight... 'Course you'd have to add a few colors to the song for this one... :) It's really beautiful, I like it.
Miss_DJ (May 21, 2007)
what a great idea! The face is precious and creative, and the hair as well!!

Lol, I liked the previous version that much, I didn't even notice it was headless! Gorgeous lightplay on the back area.
patienceisoverrated (May 21, 2007)
i liiiike this. high contrast is my favourite. so stylish and nice.
Sweetcell (May 22, 2007)
Nice highlights on the face Deino, but something about the body seems stunted. I think maybe because her buttocks may be oo high. Otherwise great composition.

lying on the floor.

I had to close the applet and submit the image so I can go to sleep...
I'd still really like to work on the hair and do a proper background only it's already 1.9mb and I feel bad asking for even more space...

Where did you get your hands on a Beatle's wig? :)

This ended up lovely Giselle. The colors make you look so fresh and healthy and my God, I love that shirt. And that is a hard angle to draw. Extra Kudo's all around. It's just beautiful and really deserves to be in Advanced.
Anna (May 20, 2007)
HOT DAMN, GISELLE! I looooove this. You are great, ma'am!

"You talkin to me? I said you talkin to me? Well I don't see anyone else here. What you got?"

Lips highlights ftw. :)
HunterKiller_ (May 19, 2007)
That's a... lovely expression. =)
Alex-Cooper (May 19, 2007)
That facial expression is hot. Angry women are best.
enjoydotcom (May 19, 2007)
Now, I have to ask, did you keep your face in that expression while drawing?

Wow, thanks! I didn't expect such a response - thanks, guys :)

Sweetcell, ever read the Princess Bride (book, not the movie)?
" "ANd I," Buttercup said. "I," she repeated, standing up in the saddle, a creature of infinite beauty and eyes that were starting to grow frightening, "I," she said for the third and last time, "am the QUEEEEEEEEEEEEEN." "
Sweetcell (May 22, 2007)
The movie yes, the book no. If I find it at the Library I'll be sure to pick it up.

"Mawage. Mawage is wot bwings us togeder tooday. Mawage, that bwessed awangment, that dweam wifin a dweam..."
xiau (May 22, 2007)
This is so pretty~ I love how you mixed the blues into it. And the coloring style is so paint-like :)

Also, I've never read the book, but the Princess Bride movie is one of my all time favorites. As you wish!

Valerie: I'm not a witch, I'm your wife. But after what you just said, I'm not even sure I want to be that any more!
