this is awfully awesome, love it

I think my wife had something else in mind, Davinci.
Thanks, Mooki. The skills are a little rusty and the new setting is a little daunting. As if the old diner where I used to eat has been transformed into a five-star restaurant.

Oh your back. It's so rare when you draw here it's an absolute delight.
R. (May 8, 2008)
Thank you kindly. I noticed that we are horoscopically entwined (if you'll excuse the expression). I recently met a lady who said: What's your sign? So I said: Aries. And she cried: Aries always say that! (Based on a true story told to me by a factoid. They're out there. Wear tin foil.)

Dear 2drawists,
Please excuse this unabashed plugulation, but this is the easiest way to inform you that my book – Six Fang Marks and a Tetanus Shot – is finally available to readers outside South Africa.
You can order it here: http://www.africabookcentre.com/acatalog/index.html (Search for “Six Fang Marks”).
You can read an excerpt here: http://magazine.book.co.za/2007/08/08/book-excerpt-six-fang-marks-and-a-tetanus-shot/
And you can visit my blog here: http://richarddenooy.book.co.za/
I wish you pleasant reading and hope you’ll be tempted to drop me a line on my blog.
Best wishes,
Richard de Nooy (the artist formerly known as R.)

Open that tap and get the ideas flowing. You are the expert at pointilism R.

My dentist has this on her T-shirt. The guy peeks out from behind her white coat, his head resting in her cleavage, with "floss" running from breast to breast. Time seems to pass quite quickly.
patienceisoverrated (Mar 27, 2007)
oh man, this is so cool. so is your dentist.

I thought regular flossing was bad. yeesh.

Is it a Dutch or English book?
I can see so much things in it, fantastic :D
R. (Mar 26, 2007)
It's in English, Roy. But a Dutch publisher has expressed a clear interest. It also contains five drawings, which are the same in any language.
Roytje (Mar 26, 2007)
I'm curious! Please memo me when it's published :) Will the English book be available in The Netherlands?
R. (Mar 26, 2007)
NL will be the main secondary market because that's where I live and have my network. You'll be able to order the book online and it will be mailed to you. The whole marketing plan seems to be coming together now and the response from the bookshops has been excellent. It's as if I'm locked in the cloakroom, waiting for the big game to begin.

Spacing is indeed an integral part of pointilism. No spaces, no points.

Nice to see you back here R. Hope you stay around this time.

Hi, Sweetcell. Just took a very pleasant stroll down your user boardwalk. I've been working hard on my first novel, which is going to be published in March. Busy, busy, busy.
Sweetcell (Jan 28, 2007)
Congratulations R, writing is a daunting thing in which I've only dabbled. Be sure to tell us when it's out.
R. (Jan 28, 2007)

Thanks, everyone. I usually draw on very rough Canson paper with a soft pencil. I've found a tool that mimics the effect.
