BARF. This took too long for what it actually is, lol. Contrast in the skin is off, but I'm happy with the basic character concept and the hand made me want to shoot babies, but all in all, I just needed a quick composition... which turned out to be a several hour long thing. Anyway. I'm doing a series of how this character evolved over time. This would be the first incarnation, who went under all of those names in the title. She was my first RPing character - on AOL in a Star Wars chatroom, lol. I was seven when I first came up with her, so the concept is a touch cliche, but I'll shut up now. First in what will be a long, long series, hopefully. :) |

This has to be my favorite thing of yours so far.... aside from the beautiful nude that was placed in the Showcase recently. When doing this type of art you always seem to manage to keep what I note as the Navajo "weaving tradition" of leading us in, and allowing us a way out. It may not be intentional, maybe it's subconscious, but I always notice that and then I'm comfortable looking at it. This is an ingenious work of abstract art, and I see innumerous things in it that I could comment on, but since I talk too much, I'll just leave it at that :).

Lori's right, looks like crystals. But I also see a face in the blue above it. There's an eye of a rather reptilian face. It feels like something I can't place my finger on. Man I love your work. If you ever do anything on canvas I hope you post it.

Just do a plain pink background (blend in a couple variations of it if you want). Sometimes simple is good. |

Claustrophobia is a state of mind, a negative one but that's what therapy's for. K, said my smart thing for the day.It's has a feeling of flight and freedom. Do what Poppa said and go outside for awhile, does wonders.

I dunno, I was trying to do a Munch kind of painting and this came out. If ANYONE can think of something better to do color and style wise I am up to suggestions.NOTE: I do like the girl and the outfit though. Bout the only thing I do like.

This is really cool! Love the sweeping flow of the girl and her expression!!! I'm not sure how it would look, but you could try bringing thin green sweeping lines from the top of the green pickle-thingy up to meet the thin green lines by the shoulder and maybe pull some of the orange-brown color from that area down into the green a little and then maybe break the solid of the blue a little. Not sure how though? Munch's backrounds seem to have alot going on in them and didn't have alot of solid areas If it doesn't work I'd leave it the way it is. Definitely has a modern day Munch feel to it :~)

This is nice, the left eye is too small and slanted though in comparison to her right. If you raised it up and widen it (not lengthen) and make her eye ball more visible than the little amount we see it wouldn't look so strange, and widen and lengthen her lips. Basic facial anatomy is using an upside down triangle. The corners of the eye would rest at the corner of the base of the triangle and the tip would rest in the middle of the bottom lip. The corners of the lip would lie under the middle of the eye's (maybe more or less but it wouldn't stray far from that basic composition) Even at half the angle the premise is the same. his is good don't get me wrong, just some adjustments would make it great.
The hand is good, just a little large. The wrist bone wouldn't be so far from the hand and stick out so much. Her shoulder is very boney as well, it should be rounder. I love the hair though, great hair.
