Thanks for filling in the rest Fleeting. Funny how you think you should know the rest of the song because you know the beggining but then you start ad-libbing and it gets hilarious.

Sunrise, sunset. Sunrise, sunset... ah... something something days... daaa daaa sunflowers.... LOL I'm giddy cause I'm tired. X)

Poppa, always a pleasure to hear from yas. And I'll always be your grateful lineart slave Stas.

Really, the likeness to the actor is outstanding, and the color you used for the eyes fits perfectly

Thanks for all the comments. ya damn straight he's an awesome actor.. screw Gandalf.. Gods and Monsters anyone?

i canny seem to find the comment where Artiste reveals her (it is a her isnt it?) tricks of the trade.. something about lines bein used almost exclusively, keeping opacity down (around 100 or so).. being able to control exactly where u wanna draw.. just give it a go. Everyone should try usin lines! :D its mouse compatible which was the main advantage for me
staci (May 5, 2006)
im so helpful!
Sweetcell (May 5, 2006)
Thank you staci, I remember that one. I'll have to try line art, I always sketch everything out.

These look like chalk on black paper, dabbed with water. =]
davincipoppalag (May 27, 2006)
It kind of looks like one of those "carved from the underside" glass things too. Very cool, Jana

"You're the best single-serving friend I've ever had. You see, everything on a plane is--"
"No, I got it. It's very clever. How's that working out for you?"
"What?"
"Being clever."
fleeting_memory (May 22, 2006)
Jack? There's no Jack in the movie....
Miss_DJ (May 22, 2006)
great great draw and perfect summary...I loved the movie and Ed Norton completely rocks..(Brad ain't bad either)
HunterKiller_ (May 26, 2006)

I do that crayon project with my kids (I am an art teacher, all ages). But we use india ink over the crayola, faster. They still love it tho now you can buy Scratch art sheets that already have it done and all you have to do is scratch..that takes the real fun out of it!!

Vidlit huh? Never heard of that before!! I watched it but will watch with sound tomorrow, don't want to wake the hubby *L* Soooooo...you do these vidlits huh? Any money in it? I am quitting teaching in the fall to persue my own artwork but would love a "side" paid art project. You have prolly seen enuff of my stuff by now to know I can do realism or whatever style is called for ina project. I did 6 illustrations for an astrology website Ezine. They paid well too and I got to keep the original art. Very nice job on the vidlit!! I recognized your style. :)

Pretty odd about Frankenstein and Flowers!! What is the chance someone was gonna mention Frankie on my flower draw? Zero? Less than zero? This happens to me every day...it is driving me insane *L* Tues. some lil kids in my art class mentioned the daughter of a woman I had not seen in 8 yrs at least. Less than 48 hours later I walk into a restaurant and there she is!! Geeeeeeez.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Apr 24, 2006)
oh sorry... I didn't see this... I saw your comment in my forum post so I came back to reply... yes, I did 3 Vidlits... and they paid me to do them (I don't know what you'd consider "well", but I was happy with it because I loved doing it) They are short video clips advertising published books right before they hit the shelves. Here are the links to the other two: http://www.vidlit.com/trumpnation/
http://www.vidlit.com/bullrider/

Doesn't EVERYONE in their right mind think of Frankenstein when they see a flower? hah :)
gerbear (Apr 24, 2006)
Hey DBa, I went and watched Bullrider, it was great! Trumpination is not working. I tried getting there from the website also. I had never heard of a vidlit before, what a good idea!
DeTroy (May 25, 2006)
I love this flower, because to me, this picture is not so much about flowers as the way the world around throws beauty in our face. We must look for it though, and sometimes search, but it is there, in sudden surprising ways

He's lying? Oh sorry, thinking of something else. Cool piccy.

And I so agree DBA, tv.s become so moronic filled with the same old shit, idiotic non-reality shows, same old cookie cut out sitcoms, and geeze how LONG are they going to milk CSI, I dunno about where your all from but I've never seen real beautiful people in Armamni suits and short skirts and high heels working in the phorensic labs.... *sigh* sorry for the rant. Tv has gradually dissapointed me more and more. Thank God for the net and thank God for 2draw.....
davincipoppalag (May 23, 2006)
Yea...this is a riot. TV does suck, as do most of those unimaginative remade crappy movies they come out with. Thank God for TLC and Discovery.
Sufiroyce (May 24, 2006)
Where is the man thing at?
Miss_DJ (May 24, 2006)
gee, Sweetcell, I mean don't we all sit here in Armani suits and short skirts and sexy DBA type shoes and draw? I know I do. hahahaha NOT. yeah...this IS my favorite pasttime...can you tell? I know...duh.
