Black Hole

Accretion Disk

A binary system consisting of a black hole and a main sequence
("normal") star. The black hole is drawing matter from the main
sequence star via an accretion disk around it, and some of this
matter forms a gas jet.

Inspired by a special I saw on the History Channel about Caligula, gotta love that channel. Trying to paint more boldly and meaningful like Dan, his work is definitely worth a second look when trying to "paint it digitally". I based this on a bust sculpture of Caligula.
