Meh... Trying to work on a style revamp...
Sorry about the simple background. I'm making detailed profiles for my art and story characters, and the BGs are all going to be black.
I can already see flaws in this. Oh well...

Ahh thats really nice.

But I dont think the background is bad, Its a lot nicer then some stuff around here now adays.
Merulotte (Jan 15, 2004)
Meh, I was never good at the necks. Oh well.
Thank you for commenting, KO...
Knockoff (edited Jan 28, 2004)
Actually the neck isn't that bad. :)

Ack *cough* Erm sorry I ment isn't.
Sorry. =(
Merulotte (Jan 16, 2004)
Uh, you didn't need to restate or elaborate, KO. I already knew it wasn't any good.

Erk! I was getting a bit overcreative after drawing Tactics Ogre: The Knight of Lodis' basic hammer weapon: The Halt Hammer.
So, now it's a...Shiny variety. I might have overdone it.
The hammer doesn't look so great, but the sparkles are kind of nice.

Nice, glowy.
You've drawn again!
ky (edited Dec 29, 2003)
Lovely shine. Looks gritty and unclean. It's a great look.

Azelrellon, I just realised.
Merulotte (edited Dec 29, 2003)
XD Just now?

|EDIT|
Well, I couldn't just leave this place, anyhow. Even if I said I'd never return, besides, this is...err...My other personality. Yeah. Still just as annoying as ever, but...

Sorry, took me a while.

Well, I was searching for information on certain RPG Monsters, and came upon my favorite one; The Will-o-wisp. So, I decided to draw one, in the Lightning Elemental form.

I was getting tired of my Marshmallow Bunny 'icon' (which wasn't much of a icon, if you ask me) so I drew my mascot; a frog! I hope this one is more suitable.
|EDIT| I forgot the other "t" in "Little."

Aww, it's adorable. Great shading.
shockedfrog (Sep 1, 2003)
i always wanted a froggy mascot guy, realised i wasn't any good at drawing, and decided to go for official shockedfrog trademark stickmen as mascots instead :) I really like the extra details you added in the background too.
CrystalineWings (Dec 29, 2003)
Eeee! It's so adorable. Makes you want to carry it around on your shoulder. XD I love it. ^_^

It's a little apple. And it's a special item that permanently increases the consumer's Intelligence and Magical Defense by 2% each! ^_^
Never mind, I was just bored. Apples that have glowing spheres flying around it like little Electrons... THey kind of lift the boredom away. o_o

Thank you all for the nice comments. ^_^ Maybe I should draw sprites a little more often. They're the only thing I have patience for. u_u

Muah. The Sock Fiend was once a very loved, purehearted piece of footwear, straight out of the department store, when one day, it was left behind in a dryer at the Laundromat. The sock went through every single Spin-Cycle, Power-Dry and Quick-Fluff in that dryer from that day on. It became tattered, torn, and mangled. One day, a mage had found this sock, and pitied it. He brought it to his home, upon where he enchanted the sock, thinking it would repair itself. But no, it stayed as ragged as it was since it left the dryer. Instead, it became enveloped by it's own grief and vengeance. It wanted to get revenge for all those years that it was tossed.
It eventually escaped, and began creeping into people's houses, where-upon it was sometimes put on by a hurrying resident. It drained the wearer's life energy through their feet, and caused them to shrivel up and die. It continued this for years, until it became strong enough to drain the living's energy without having to latch onto their soles. It is said that it has killed many, many people, and that the only way it can be stunned is to have a Dr. Scholls Jelly Sole tossed at it. But, even then, it won't stay put for long. It seeks it's victims, even to this day... Booooo....

Er, anyhow... I thought this theme was a good idea, so I thought I'd make some kind of monstrous ghoul. ^_^ Hope you like it.

Yeesh. I haven't drawn Merco in a long time. Now, he's got a new color scheme instead of that map-of-space skin, and his element is now Electricity. Obviously, as it's demonstrated here.
Merco is from the Region of Meliaka, the area of Cerulia that is mainly populated by scaled creatures instead of humans. (Current Regions of Cerulia: Glacina, Perecolia, Linulakia, Meliaka, Freiria, Merelkia)
He used to be the unknowing guardian of the endangered Cosmos element Soul. But it has returned safely to where it belongs, and Merco's true element finally shows it's face.
Watch out, though. Merco should avoid walking on carpet.
...Speaking of storms... We've got one right now... Stupid maritime Sky-Tsunamis...

So that's what I forgot. His eyes looked evil without the black lines in them, so I fixed it.

Beh. I'm getting worse at drawing head shapes every time I try to. Note that there is a wrappy thing around Myrille's head, so the shape may seem off to what is easily seen... The face set-up is bad as usual, too.
At least I like the fact that I finished this picture and submitted it, unlike some others which I trashed around the sketch or line stage out of sheer dislike.

Fine, fine...
Myrille, as seen before, is the keeper of the Snowfall Inn. Myrille is also known to be able to project false or near-real images. So, after I had played Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, and got an Illusionist class... You finish it from there.
~Wink~ (Oct 19, 2003)
Nice pic though to me it seems like the neck is a bit long but that may just be me...wee final fantasy tactics advance rox i gots funky classes i likes the assains perticularly cause they jsut appear behind people and then BAM they are dead(they being the enemy)
MattyP (Oct 20, 2003)
I don't think this is as good as your last few pics but it is still good.
And I agree with Armando, the arms are a bit too short. As for everything
else, I like it! ^_^
I especially like the way you do texture on your outfits, maybe you could give me pointers sometime.
Merulotte (Oct 20, 2003)
Well, the textures are just a feature of Oekaki Shi Painter. They just paint on.
...Anyhow...

It didn't actually take that long. Try removing an hour to an hour and a half...
Anyways, it's not much, but I did try a slight style modification. It's probably not any better, maybe worse.
Sigh. Boredom strikes...
(Sakai comes from a more-than-warm climate, so he gets sick if he stays out in the Melunian Valleys for too long. Looks like it happened again.)

I don't see a change in your style. The textures on the clothing are good. I think the head anatomy needs to be worked on, but it looks better compared to your previous drawings. The picture doesn't look bad over all.

I find your background stories interesting. ;x
MattyP (Oct 9, 2003)
Really Good, and I agree with armando, your stories are...interesting!
