I am just trying to get a handle on this mouse drawing stuff again.. been away from here to long, it feels good to be back at this!!
I finally bought a new computer so i will be able to draw again.. well when i'm not swamped with college work... >.< And i have the scanner up and running also which is good!! Anyway i have to go to sleep, i gotta be up by 4:30 tomorrow XP ~bye~

Gaahh I hate my computer.. it froze up on me while I was drawing and I had to shut down and when I came back on my pic was gone Grrrrr.... >_<

I know that the pose is messed up but I was just messin around.. it didn't have to be perfect....>.> oh and i didn't know if this had to have a high rating on it or not so i'll just put it as 13+

I don't think that this should be 13+
And the pose isn't messed up, maybe just the hands, because if you try yourself that pose, It's strange to hold a baseball stick like that.

Yeah i kept on tryin to figure out the hands.. and belive me all the other tries i did I falied big time... so at least she looks ok!!!! ^_^ Thanks Valerie!!!

Edit: I'm puttin this as finished to make room and i dont want to work on this for awhile... i'll finish this in Adobe Photoshop some time..

Nice! I think you're on the right track. Without sounding too much like a nitpicking ass-munch, here is a list of things you might consider before doing our collab, which will be on the Advanced board:

- Your facial proportions are pretty good overall but they could be better.
- The line work is a little scratchy and thick, consider tightening your line work a little.
- This portrait is sort of plain and lacks unique details, consider ref subjects with more form and expression in their faces.
- The canvas should be bigger, the height should be at least 550, I know, this one is just practice but keep that in mind for the Advanced collab.

I hope that helps and I hope I don't sound like a jerk.

I saw this photo on the web and i thought it was awesome and i wanted to try to draw it.... well as you can see it didn't come out as good as the photo... oh well i still like it though!!!! ^_^

Both your version and the photo are very nice. In your version I see an ear and oversized hairs that have split. It makes me think of a very loud boom that 'cracked' the hairs.

I'm trying to learn this Oekaki stuff so i took a tutorial for it and i think i'm getting a hang of it!!! ^__^

I think you're doing well with this, the line work and shading are both very clean. I don't think the shine on the eyes need their own shading though.
