Milhouse or Millhouse, never know one L or two. I actually think you made them very recognizable, but it is best to do the line art on one layer and the coloring on the layer under the lineart one. That makes it possible to not get those mean white spots. :D. Use the bucket/fill tool only if it is for large parts (like the background) or if you are willing to mega-zoom in to fill the white bits. Believe me, it is much easier to use layers.

When I saw it at first I thought it looked like a fishingrod reel but now that I've read the comment from davinci, it does look like a motor.

I really like your style and the way you colour in so softly.

Soooo my friend told me to draw a zombie. So I did.
Annnd this is the product of my boredom.
EDIT:Done !
I haven't done oekaki in a loooong time. And never really with solids. So I thought I'd give it a try.
Hope it's not too bad for beginner category..T_T

Solids are harder than I thought....T_T
Almost done though =]
Still not happy with the thumb...

Oh and um...I rated this 13+ cause of the blood. Should it be a higher rating? I wasn't sure...

Yay zombies~!
MelissaMissy (Feb 18, 2008)
This can't be too bad for beginner! It's better than a lot on here.
Stryk_Nine (Feb 19, 2008)
Wow, thank you! =]
I'm hoping to do some more where I'm actually familiar with the style...solids are harder than most would think!

Welcome!
I'm not going to be harsh though I am going to tell you the good AND bad points of this.
Good is that it's cute, a button nose, nice hair and eyes and overall, I like it.
The bad points are that the lines aren't very neat or smooth and you should fix them and also make a background.
The skin is good and overall it's really good for a first drawing.
Sweetcell (Feb 19, 2008)
Ok, from what I see she knows form a little better. Melissa before you tell other artists what to improve, please improve yourself. This is getting annoying.

Chiru, this is a good first. You have more than enough room to clean up the lines (they are messy and take away from the piece) Just go back with the soft erasure on medium flow and shave down the lines until they're smooth. The base is there so that shouldn't be hard. Find the light source (which looks like it's coming from the right) and add the highlights on that side. Especially in the eye for sparkle. Shading under the chin, a little under the nose and slightly under where the hair falls will make this piece pop. If you don't want to do a bg then just a diffent color would make a world of difference. Keep it up, and remember to spend more time on your pieces. If your just doodling or pacticing with the tools remember, you don't have to send.

I won't be mean :)
This is cool, the lighting is awesome and the girl is cute.
Unlike you, I suck at clothes and do my faces better whereas you do the body better shaded.
The colours on the cheeks are nice though. And those eyes!
FakeHalo (Feb 18, 2008)
Aw, thank you :D You should see my work when I draw with a pen n then color it in PS :) They're MUCH better :D It's so hard to do it here though ^^
