Eeee! It's looking cuuute... one thing, the yellow and blue at the top of the socks seems too bright for the rest of the colours... maybe lighten it up a bit?

Excellent concept for a character. I have to agree about the blue and yellow there: the character has a charming muted look about her in terms of the colors, and the bright blues and yellows draw the eyes too much there. |

This is mostly concerning older artists here, since I'd expect most of the younger ones to not have had much exposure to this yet. When you make art do you think about the concepts behind it? Do you value technique and visual qualities over theory and communicative aspects? Are those all equally important parts of making art? an example I thought of is that in basketball there's a lot of math and physics involved.
