Great series! But how many times can a man get flattened in his lifetime? :P

I love how you never reveal the face of Larry's wife.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (edited Feb 10, 2006)
So in this rendition of the story, shouldn't Gladys be the good witch of the North Trailer Park, instead of Glenda? She could add a few sequins to her turquoise robe and use a feather duster (or a flyswatter, whatever's handy) for her magic wand, you see. AND seems to me that Larry's haggly wife ought to be in charge of the flying monkeys this go round. uhuh. Everybody else (including Larry... gets to take a picnic lunch to Opiate Park (where the poppies grow, of course) where they get wasted on poppy fumes, while eating poppyseed cake. Meanwhile, Larry's haggly wife is busy tending the monkeys and he hooks up with this young chick that blew on over from the trailer park, as well. I think her name is Dorothy? Then Wanda shows up, and it's like a free for all between Gladys, Wanda, Larry's wife and Dorothy... that's when the poppies hit the fan, you see, and Larry wonders if the circus midgets from the trailer park can rescue him from the war zone.
Felistorm (Feb 11, 2006)
Ummm Has DBA been hanging out in the poppy field awhile? *giggles. :D I see some ideas in there. :D I am loving this series and always look forward to the next one. Love the little flowerpot. :P
Pseudonymous (Feb 11, 2006)

is that a dream catcher thingy in the window? if not you need to add one :P
JoeNobody (Feb 10, 2006)
The thing in the window is a "Tot Finder" sticker that was popular way back when. So any emergency crews being called to a house would know what room a child occupied.

.....and do you really think I need to add a dream catcher? I know that if this was actually the trailer park I lived in, ALL me dreams would have already been answered. :-D
emmamommalag (Feb 10, 2006)
Ahahahaa That's priceless! You forgot one thing, though.. one of those rear-view bent-over fat ladies in flowered dresses with bloomers placards.
DarkCloak (Feb 10, 2006)
Oh man, this reminds me of home! It just needs some christmas lights (we keep those things up all year) and piles of old useless bicycles we've collected over the years.

Oh oh ,Larry thought he had trouble when he came home twenty bucks light! Wait till she notices this! Lol I love this series hehe
DeadlyBlondeArcher (edited Feb 4, 2006)
ohhhh myyyyy..... (I see Larry's little tummy in that window...it's those tiny little attentions to detail that make these so cute, like the straws in the daisies) *turns page in a hurry*
Pseudonymous (Feb 5, 2006)
LOL!
PolythenePam (Feb 5, 2006)
Like DBA said! And you can see the chalk outline of Larry still on the road. These are cool as lemonade, Joe.

Larry thought being rolled flat was something that could only happen once in a man's life, upon arriving home he learned differently.

...seeing what had happened, Wanda took the flattened Larry into the alleyway and re-inflated him for a mere $20.00.

DeadlyBlondeArcher (Jan 31, 2006)
(lol @ snort) :)... I hate to work poor lil' ole' Bob's fingers to the bone, but I am dying to know what Larry's estranged, yet violent and psychopathic wife is going to do to him when she catches him rounding that corner with that big fat smile and 20 bucks less in his wallet.... Talk about needing paramedics, now. ;)
SYTHE (Jan 31, 2006)
Hey, I thought that guy was dead.....aw man......now I gotta cancel the funeral arrangements. What a second, who was the guy we had embalmed......oh well. -very hummerous-

terracotta (Jan 31, 2006)
giggling at the title. I think this composition deserves to march into hyperRealism. I could turn this into something that looks like a photograph for you in less than 20 hours. But you have to send me a Phila pretzel first.
JoeNobody (Jan 31, 2006)
should I send the mustard too?

O.O I Love cheese!!!!!!!
I wouldn't eat the green and brown cheese, but I always wanted to try blue cheese.
shults (edited Jan 29, 2006)
Love this one.
a lot.
oh, and know this- my mom (a kindergarten teacher) asked me to print this one, to show the kids one artistic tree. :)
love the one with the rainbow too. optimistic.
JoeNobody (Jan 30, 2006)
thanks everyone. shults, I would be honored to hear what the class had to say. A neat project your Mom can try is giving the kids Elmer's type glue and colored tissue paper. Tear the tissue paper into shapes and glue it down onto white paper to create picture. The overlapping areas give mixed colors. (Hopefully that's not too advanced for kindergarten, it's been a while since I have been there).
kejoco (edited Jan 30, 2006)
I forgot to mention that I really like this

Joe, that project you mentioned for the kids was exactly what this reminded me of. I think I remember doing that in kindergarten

I know. I keep watching that arched doorway, thinking any minute now someone interesting is going to come flyin' out of it...I'll just sit here and wait until you've mastered some animation program. Okay?
JoeNobody (Jan 28, 2006)
You guys can't see the animation? Well, he does come out of the arched doorway after a long day at his desk, walks across the street and into his apartment building. He takes the elevator to the top floor then climbs the one flight of stairs to the rooftop. There he has his watering can and lovingly tends to his flowers. After watering and removing some dry petals he stands at the edge of the rooftop for a while, watching the others in the city as they finish their days. As the sun drops behind the buildings in the west and the lights in the buildings begin to glow he heads back down the stairs and to the elevator. Hungry but not wanting to return to his apartment to face eating another microwaved supper, he leaves out the front door and goes around the corner to his favorite tavern where he orders a Belgian beer and eats pretzels from the bowl on the bar.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Jan 28, 2006)
Oh. I was thinking more like a little round fat man toppled off the roof while watering the flowers, bounced a couple of times, and then got flattened by a steam roller.
JoeNobody (Jan 28, 2006)
that happens in episode two.
