I'll bet you just gave him a fresh idea...a sea monster..lol..:) And thanks 'poppa'...I love lighthouses too..:)..btw..you didn't say where you were going on your cruise...curious minds want to know...:) And about the tree..I think its a type of maple tree..it was a little scant and not real full. I tried to do it more like the photo on my second revise. Wisconsin is different..windy and humid at the same time..hot during the day and cold at night..

Gorgeous work! The whole piece is great...however, I'm especially impressed by your tree, the sky and the water. Really, really gorgeous. I lived in a suburb of Milwaukee for about four months back in the mid 90's. It is really lovely there.

Ok...time to move on. I think I learned alot more from doing this one pic than trying to do several rough sketches. Too bad I learned more toward the end of the draw than the beginning. Maybe I should retitle it 'Tree frog sitting on string of green chile peppers'.

I think you did a great job, especially since you are new to the tools... I'm still learning (every time I use the applet) I think if you had put some highlights on the outer perameters of the frog it would have brought him to the foreground and separated him from the background a little, but other than that I think it's perfect.

Yeah, DBA, I was wondering whether I should add a 'glow' around the frog. I got up the courage to ask a mod for more space, but I've just redone 3 pics so I'll wait a bit to touch up this one.

I remember as a kid, we would climb a mountain and at the top of the mountain was the shrines and cemetery in Japan. It was lit with candles everywhere and lanterns. Very peaceful..amazing

The moon is pretty good but it does not look like its exuding the light that is being reflected from the water.Also When the moon is emitting light it does not send it out in one beam of light,only lighting whats underneath it and straight out.Try highlighting around that line of light so that it gradually goes from light to dark.But a pretty picture.
