I hate these things only marginally less than spiders...(shudder) I think it's that "twitchy wing " business they do when they land... they just look like they are out to sting you whenever they are around... Ya done did good.. I hate this picture so you know you did it right!(did those wings just twitch????)

Heheh...I like your cartoonies...
If 'grandma' bends over in that short dress, those kids are gonna run off screaming...lol...
LovelyLori (Jun 18, 2004)
I know, lol... grandma's got a freaky sense of style....
emmamommalag (Jun 19, 2004)
Lol! I love the expression on the pinch-ee's face.
davincipoppalag (Jun 20, 2004)

I this my first image here. I normally do pixel art but I figured I'd try something new. I originally I got the image from a Merlot (wine) bottle that a friend gave me, it's similar but I made my version a little sweeter looking :). this is unfinished because I want to get some feedback on what to change (and I need to go to bed).

Nice bright colors you used. He sure looks like one cocky fellow.

I'm almost finished but I din't want to lose the background. I look of the medals since they looked odd, so now his just looks patriotic
davincipoppalag (Jun 20, 2004)
This is quite well done. I like the background and the rooster's details. He does appear to be kind of floatingabove the road right now.. perhaps some shadows from the feet outward to make him appear more connected to the earth? Nice job

The pattern on that snake is beautiful. Very nice colors.
DMV (Jun 19, 2004)
I think if you had the snake around an apple would have been cool:)
Knockoff (Jun 19, 2004)
Woaw, I love all the color in this.
I really like the circles of colors, and the texture is really nice.
Great picture.
davincipoppalag (Jun 20, 2004)
I think this is a very good job. You managed the rounded look of the body quite well in my opinion and I like the colors and designs you used.

Gigge (Jun 19, 2004)
Finished? I was looking forward to 4 more versions. Very eerie feel to this one. Hard to tell what she's holding though. I think it's a rock, but the highlight under the object looks a little like a tail.
audie (Jun 19, 2004)
Niiiiice..I like it.
emmamommalag (Jun 20, 2004)
My goodness, it's changed a lot. lol No more light and sensitive eyes. Now it looks Like Linda Gray. I can't tell what she's holding either.

Ugh...I was going to draw the whole face but I realized I'm honestly not that talented, so I just drew the eye and then the background which is red. If you're wondering why I chose red (which you probably aren't but I'm going to tell you anyway) is because red is a contradiction. It defines love, passion and lust but at the same time defines war, blood and pain. Wow...I think I'm a little too overtired. I basically gave up on this thing. Good night.

I kind of like it. Just seeing the eye, I think the rest of the face came out better than you'll admit. Hope you'll keep drawing.
emmamommalag (Jun 18, 2004)
I agree with Gigge.. if you can draw the eye that well, I bet you can do the face. :) Waiting to see more...
tweekluvme (Jun 19, 2004)
OMG! soooo amazing!
it looks soooo real! you are a true artist!!! ^^
lxveisblind (Jun 19, 2004)

Actually, I like this one, Audie. I think you did a good job with the hair and facial expression. I also like the way the shadow of the hair on the face creates a little depth to the pic..
CRAZYCHICA (Jun 19, 2004)
This is good, I like the expression on her face!

Actually, it's kind of pretty. The bright colors are very lively.
MD_Anonymous (edited Jun 19, 2004)
Yes, I agree with Gigge. Maybe add some lines to give it a more defined shape?

hah! he has on red fruit of the looms! I hate ants.... they are everywhere around here. I love your picture, tho. :)
Gigge (Jun 18, 2004)
This is so cute. I'm glad the ants here don't have that kind of an attitude. I think I'd have to stop wearing pants.
DMV (Jun 18, 2004)
Hey this is cool :) I drew one to on the beginner board:)

Thanks emma...your sweet...and I think you're right about DMV... I'll bet you just gave him a fresh idea...a sea monster..lol..:) And thanks 'poppa'...I love lighthouses too..:)..btw..you didn't say where you were going on your cruise...curious minds want to know...:) And about the tree..I think its a type of maple tree..it was a little scant and not real full. I tried to do it more like the photo on my second revise. Wisconsin is different..windy and humid at the same time..hot during the day and cold at night..
laurael (Jun 18, 2004)
Very nice, glow...great water and that tree...is so fabulously done...love it!
debem (Jun 18, 2004)
Gorgeous work! The whole piece is great...however, I'm especially impressed by your tree, the sky and the water. Really, really gorgeous. I lived in a suburb of Milwaukee for about four months back in the mid 90's. It is really lovely there.
gloworm043 (Jun 19, 2004)
Thanks very much..:) It is a breathtaking view looking out over lake Michigan...beautiful.
