Gigge (Jul 7, 2004)
Very cool, Audie. I like the soft glow and big eyes your women all have. Very nice style.

Beautiful, Rosemary! I love the design of her dress and the flowers on it. Looking forward to the finish.
Aubrey (Jun 29, 2004)
Looks like a wedding photo. Very pretty picture. I agree about the blending, it could use it on the fleshy tones.. the face and neck primarily. Other than that it's really good.
Kasha (Jul 7, 2004)
beautiful. I love the flowers on her dress.
diver2026 (Jul 7, 2004)
this is lovely - Great detail with the flowers - and I'm impressed with the hair and the hand - maybe a tad blurry - but that could be partly what makes it look so soft

Hello, I am new to these boards. Wondering if I could fit in here in the Intermediate boards...? *meep* The timer, by the way, is ridiculously off-- made pierogies and kept the applet open xD

Welcome to 2draw. I would say get used to the tools before you start using the upper boards, and read the rules.
Gigge (Jul 7, 2004)
Yup, I found it very helpful to play with the tools on the beginner boards, and still do! Not a bad place to start. I like the colors on this.
Knockoff (Jul 7, 2004)
Hey! Welcome to 2draw. I like the colors, this is really nice. Good job on the lineart too! :)

I guess great artist's minds think alike! ;D We must be on the same wave length.
LovelyLori (Jul 7, 2004)
well I dunno about you, but my wavelength is a very slow sleepy one.... yawnnnn - Summer makes me so lazy
Gigge (Jul 7, 2004)
I love these experiments, Lori. They always make me stop, cock my head to the side and muse over them.

anyone know of a good tablet I can get that works well with XP? I give in, I'll spend some money, I'll stop drawing with a mouse and try a tablet

I like the face. You've done a very good job on the expression and the shading. I have an Aiptek pen and use XP... seems to work okay for me but I've never tried any other kinds.

I think it's finished! Well, lets just say it is, and I'll leave it at that. My paintings are never finished, I don't think I have a finished one yet. All comments, good or bad are welcome
emmamommalag (Jul 6, 2004)
I love the bright colors and the designs on her clothing. I know what you mean about 'never finished.' On mine, there's always something I want to go back and tweak.
Gigge (Jul 7, 2004)
Very nice, Chantilly. Great expression. Pretty colors. And...it gets easier. I'm new here too, but already there's a big improvement in my ability to wield the tools. I'm sure you'll experience the same thing as you continue to draw. Good job on this pic. Now, go finish the Koi!

Most just lose their marbles, this one lost his head! Great marbles there thug!
LovelyLori (Jul 7, 2004)
whoa, weird.... I see we're workin' with the same colors this morning.... this is wild, I like it that way!
thug (Jul 7, 2004)
thanks, I was going to do a better bg but ran out of room. Oh well, the alien autopsy film was in black and white anyway.
Gigge (Jul 7, 2004)
Oy, that's gotta hurt. Is that George Washington's head in the corner? Those marbles look like I could pluck them right off the screen.

from the movie called osama, made in afghanistan, set in taliban era, a girl must disguise herself as a boy to get work and support her mother and grandmother. based on a true story i believe...and a sad one

I'm so glad I told you about this site. We need more serious artistic pictures like this here. Beautiful.

misterjimsan (Jul 6, 2004)
heh, thank you, and i'm glad you told me about this site, too.
damnskippytakn-a-break (Jul 6, 2004)
Breathtaking! I would love to work side by side with you! I am feeling inadequate right now, rethinking this medium.
mx (Jul 6, 2004)
I hate to admit it, but i was wrong:)
You actually improved the artwork without leaving it as unfinished...so much so that i dont think my advice will help cause it is clear that you know what your doing and should be in the advanced section...
Yet again it looks great unfinished, but i guess youll be able to improve it even more

go well

If you unscrew his head, there is a 12 inch bowie knife lol!
Xodiak (Jul 5, 2004)
Do you know the movies called Child's Play? It is about a killer who has his soul trapped inside a doll. The killer's name is Charles Lee Ray and the doll is called Chucky. The brand of the dolls are called "Good Guy" dolls. In the movies, the doll just sneaks into rooms, surprise people and murder them before they can resist. Well, your drawings remind me alot of the Chucky doll. He has the big twisted eyes and the evil facial features. >:D

My daughter has been freaked out by dolls ever since seeing that movie, Xod. This picture reminds me of one of the Twilight Zone episodes with Cliff Roberston as a ventriloquist. Just saw that one again yesterday on the marathon. Great pic, DMV. I like the background, too.
DMV (Jul 6, 2004)
Xod if you go in my gallery you will see chucky.. I did a not so good version of him.
LOL! Emma i remember that episode...there was also that movie "Magic" w/ anthony hopkins I think?

Another Paint BBS drawing. Umm, well, I've never studied hand anatomy, so this is a little off.(I think.)

Ok..then the sword you drew is a bit out of line with the hilt as I said in the first comment.
Coolsoft (Jul 6, 2004)
Yeah. I think it is.
emmamommalag (Jul 6, 2004)
Even so... it's a very nice picture. I like your work on the hands.

cool colors..
Gigge (Jul 6, 2004)
I like the whole effect. The colors, the geometric blocks dividing the sections, the repetition of body parts. Neat.
diver2026 (Jul 6, 2004)
its cool - its simple but unique
Knockoff (Jul 6, 2004)
Hey, this is neat. I like all the colors and stuff. Nice work :)
