Whoa. We get to see a little bit of the real XOD! Awesome job! You did it with a mouse, Kudos to you! Wow, XOD is a Hot one eh? If I was of the other influence I would fly to greece but....I don't fly that way.
Kloxboy (Nov 20, 2004)
Wait, he's not a green goblin, I'm so disappointed. Really great drawing!!! Nice composition.
Anna (Nov 21, 2004)
Nicely done!! Xod looks great!!!
Aubrey (Nov 22, 2004)
Very cool picture Rosalyn. Xod IS a handsome fella and apparently isn't green as previously suspected. |

The loneliness within metakes a heavy toll 'cause it burns as slow as whiskey through an empty, aching soul and the night is like a dagger long, and cold and sharp as I sit here on the front steps blowing smoke rings in the dark I know I must be going cause love's already gone and all I'm takin' with me are the pieces of my heart and all I'll leave are smoke rings in the dark
spiritdweller (Nov 22, 2004)
you know I smoke dba... and yeah, I do think so!
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Nov 22, 2004)
I did know that... but I forgot. :) Thank you, I kinda like it, but I'm partial to cigarettes. :D
staci (Nov 22, 2004)

Aubrey (Nov 22, 2004)

Study. Part 2.Still pretty iffy. But I'm starting to get the hang of this noticing every color change thing.
Gigandas (Nov 20, 2004)
I saw your other eye drawing too and Icats has given you some great advice that I can see has improved your skill quite a bit in realism here.I agree with Zack's comment about the eyebrow, making it look more natural would help enhance the overall look to this.I dunno exactly if you wanted to do anything more to the skin around the eye, but it you were to make the entire picture look real, you should be able to make out the small bag of skin under the eye as well as some more highlights on the skin, whether it be the refletion of the oil on the skin or just the brightness from the source of light.I have to say that tear duct is pretty damn amazing though. If you also wanna bring more life to the eye, adding specks of bright reflection into the iris would do just that.Keep up the good work.
seaanemone (edited Nov 20, 2004)
"For dry, red eyes use Clear Eyes...wow..." lol
Anna (Nov 20, 2004)
Thanks, Gig! This time, I wasn't really concerned about the skin around her eye... mainly because the ref mostly had one color for the skin. The lady didn't have bags! hah. Made my work easier. Anyhow.. I'll pick a better ref so I can concentrate on that stuff you mentioned. I think I just liked it because of the makeup. :-P
sincity (Nov 20, 2004)
I can't say anything else all the others have said. So I'll just say this looks nice. Good one anna. |

shadowcrumb (Nov 18, 2004)

sincity (Nov 18, 2004)
this is actually very nice and creative, runs on fire and steam, first of the medieval frankenstiens or a mech . a stove golem , that's it! got it. Good one. I'm going to steal it! just kidding. >;}
Gigandas (Nov 20, 2004)

References: Well I think I only used one reference pic, the helmet of the guy on the Age of Empires 1 Box. (http://www.microsoft.com/products/games/age/box_age1.gif) Ephesians 6:17
Coolsoft (Nov 18, 2004)
Thanks everybody. Green, where?
davincipoppalag (Nov 18, 2004)
XOD didn't turn green until he was out of the army Mike..
Coolsoft (Nov 20, 2004)
Davincipoppalaq, is the sharpness any better on this pic than my previous ones?
Xodiak (Nov 20, 2004)
Hehe, it looks great... nice helmet! Dave, I think they kicked me out of army when Xod said: Make love, not war! <:DAwesome drawing! The texture and the colouring on the helmet makes it very metallic-like... <:) |XOD| |

don't even act like you're not down with the Kool-Aid Man...bitches
K-Dizzle (Nov 16, 2004)
hahahaha...god damn..that sounds wicked disgusting...did you at least scream "OH YEEEEAH!" after you were done? ;)
Gigandas (edited Dec 18, 2004)
Hehe, my friend Katie was telling me the other day how she saw this comedian talking about the Kool-aid man and how he was mentioning how frightening it'd be to see a giant pitcher of red juice break through your wall at home. And then how the Kool-aid man would follow his breakthrough up with an "OHHHHH YEEEEEAAAAAAAAHHHHHH" and then when the parents find out there's a huge hole in the wall, they'd give out an "OHHHHH NO."
mukumuku (Dec 26, 2004)
ha! it's the kool-aid guy! awesome
DinoFlorist (Jan 23, 2005)
haha! I missed this one before, I guess. But Holy Crap! This is the best subject matter to draw that I've ever seen! I love it; I wish I had thought of it. |

this is a design that's painted on the glass I'm drinking from... there are only two colors, I filled the canvas with the green, and I am erasing the rest of the picture out of the green... I'm not sure what the whole design means, but I find it very beautiful...
emmamommalag (Nov 16, 2004)
Very nice picture. We used to have some glasses like that. Sorry about that awful mess in your laundry room. ((((Lori))) My mother-in-law once came home to find her laundry room and kitchen flooded .. the fill hose had come loose or something and she always warned me to turn off the valves when my machine was not in use. Never took her advice.. hope I never regret it. lol
Xodiak (Nov 16, 2004)
It looks very nice Lori... I like the ancient greek statues, especially the naked ones! >;D That was very unfortunate with the flooding... I hope everything gets fixed... >:) |XOD|
sincity (Nov 16, 2004)
slept in late and missed this, like all the millions of other great stuff I miss on this site. Very nice, Ilike this. I also like greek and roman stuff. And of course the writings are great to.
Aubrey (Nov 17, 2004)
You have some really pretty glasses there Lori :) It's always a pain when anything floods the floor though, sorry you had to deal with the whole big mess of things. *hugs* |

I started this last week (I think) when fin shared this technique. It was very fun and easy to draw. I finally was able to draw a normal looking person on this site. : ]

Thanks everyone! Sorry Thug, you caught me in one of those "not think clearly moments" SD: It only took me.. opps, I see it says that the duration is 3hrs 40min...well it really only took me less than an hour. And to Gigandas, what do you mean about the old fashioned way? I guess I'm still not thinking clearly, I am ready to go home from work right NOW! : ]
davincipoppalag (Nov 16, 2004)
Did you do that thing with the bottom slider on the left that thug was trying to 'splain to the thick headed old guy? lol This is cool.
starmarked (Nov 17, 2004)
Yes Davin that is what I did. : ]
comd (Apr 12, 2006)
I think old fashioned way would be drawing one dot at a time. Very cool use of Lascaux! |

Bump.... `Think it's called a sai? Si... i dunno how that's spelled, pronounced "sigh" though. Nice job on Raphael Gig, hopefully she DOES come back, where is she?
pulmonq2 (Dec 18, 2004)
I have a whole archive of old original video game music...sonic, mario, megaman, starfox, etc... but what I usually listen to while drawing is metal...something like Rhapsody or After Forever or Lost Horizon or any of the other 350+ cds I own... oops this was spose to be about your pic... uhh, nice drawing!! XD
laurael (Jan 6, 2005)
Thank you, Niel...I absolutely adore this picture of Raph. You can draw anything...ANYTHING. Your solid coloring is fantastic too! You are the best! A thousand kisses for you. ;)Damn...where's the favorite thingy when you need it? Really. |
