pink. I see pink. I like pink. This drawing gets an eight on my pink scale. I also like the way its...pink. Pink pwns, and if you disagree then a certain...pink bear will eat you alive...
fleeting_memory (Apr 18, 2004)
this is real nice-me likey lots-helps that I love dragons and these look like dragons. I love the tequnique you used for the clouds-the edgyness of them lends itself very well to the picture
safescene (Apr 19, 2004)
whoa, that's bizarre o.O I like this one a whole lotta lot, Icats..the pink goes exceptionally well with the white and the black. Nice! :)
Aubrey (Apr 20, 2004)
Yeah I agree, the colors go so well together. At first it reminded me of the movie "Birds" for some reason.. like crows flying in.. I dunno. At any rate this is great. I love the sky and how open it feels and the dragons definitely add to the coolness of it all. |

It really gives an illusion of depth, and the impressionist style gives your painting more character, very nice

Thats a good idea Biopsy, I colored on a pig once, with makeup pencils, in Biology class. We dissected it, then I gave it a makeover. HAH! Hurry up and finish this one, Icats. I'm hungry for porkers.
Lottie (Apr 19, 2004)

Pandora (Apr 20, 2004)
I see what happens when the pigs go to the market.. I was surprised to find pigs hanging here. lol What made you think of this idea, hungry for pork?j/k actually it's very real looking and the skin of the pig looks so tight. Freaks me, but I will still remain a pig lover.:) You're so versatile ICATS. |

sorry another skull....
DMV (Apr 4, 2004)
you are both right... my reason for this drawing was not so much the skull but I was trtying to make the skull round and have almost ( and i mean almost) a 3D look to it .thats why it's on the beginners board and i apologized for it . and it was better before I saved it. um.....what iceman drawing? Marcello your welcome to delete this one lol!
Pantera (Apr 4, 2004)
Gee I am thinking you have to be a professional to draw here. For all its worth, I like this a lot DMV.
_INGRID_ (Apr 5, 2004)
i think you should draw what you like if you want 2 draw 1000000000skulls more then just do it! i like because you always have a funny story to tell so keep it up! ;)
emmamommalag (Apr 14, 2004)
I like it! But of course being new here, I haven't seen the others so what do I know? Those eyes are mesmerizing, though! |

This was inspired by children, and spring. I still love to blow bubbles. I used to think I had to only do it with my children, and then until my nieces came over, but now sometimes I blow bubbles just because I'm happy and I feel like it. I don't care if I look silly. (My golden retriever likes to chase them, anyway)
EverDream (Apr 8, 2004)
Good Dang DBA! Where do you get all that inspiration from? All your pieces are wonderful and I especially like this one alot. BUBBLES!!! *pops 'em* :D
Aubrey (Apr 13, 2004)
I agree about the depth, it makes it look all the more realistic and it's very hard to get a grasp on. You did it just fine :-D I love the bubbles too. My senior class back in high school was a bit off from the rest of the school. We all liked the stickers the english teacher put on the tests.. all liked ourselves just the way we were without being fake (in my opinion made us even better)... and a whole bunch of us liked BUBBLES lol. They actually made a rule we couldn't bring them into school anymore.. before that they never had a problem with people even bringing them TO school lol. Whoever came up with the Edible bubbles.. great idea.. twice the fun with twice the calories! *sigh* those were the days.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Apr 13, 2004)
What a neat story, Aubrey! :) I always liked paper airplanes, and we could never do that... I substituted on and off for a few years when my kids were younger, and when I taught the little kids, like 3rd grade, I taught them to make these really cool paper airplanes and we flew them in class, and then took them out to the playground and flew them. (lol)
davincipoppalag (Apr 13, 2004)
Hmmm does it count that when we were in high school we injected vodka into oranges and ate them in class? lol |

yay! I learned about Hendri De Toulouse-Lautrec in Art History today. :) haha, when I saw this image I instanly feel in love with the sickly colors and the careless strokes that the lovely impressionist use. I don't think I can exactly capture the truthful artistic qualities of the actual painting but the colors and lighting effect looked really fun to do :D
davincipoppalag (Apr 12, 2004)
Toulouse-Lautrec was a dwarfish mishappen man. He felt outcast and started frequenting prostitutes. That led him to the Paris cabaret scene and most of his work was done in those places. I love his work. It is full of color and action. There was a great movie about him starring Jose Ferrer back in the 60's I believe. THis captures that flavor quite nicely. What was that saying? Absinthe makes the heart grow fonder? lol
Pandora (Apr 13, 2004)
I think you captured this beautifully. I wonder why he made the eyes so hollow looking. Did he not see anything in them?
Knockoff (Apr 13, 2004)
Really nice kasha! I love the colors also. Also you did a great job with shading n stuff.
concannon (Apr 13, 2004)
Oh, I love Toulouse! Great job.His full name: Henri Marie Raymond de Toulouse-Lautrec Monfa. Oh yes. |

Dizzie (Apr 13, 2004)
