I got my tablet!!! Yay!!!!Basically, this was a tester for my new Wacom. Although I kind of like the wolf.....halfway through I decided his name was Dagger, so hence the name. (Bite me) Anyways, concrit? I know the paws are in dire need of work.....

Actually the paws look good. It looks kinda sketchy but in a good way. The thumbnail of this caught my eye.

imitation is the highest form of praise, my back hurts from drawing too hardproportions are a bit off and i see all kinds off bits that need touchin up but like aww NO MO ANAKIN

Opium: Maybe it is because a snake bites and lets go and a lizard hangs on and twists while hanging on....(yep been bit that way too LOL) Punky: Geckos are soooo cute! I like all critters. :P

Felistorm: haha I think you're right! They can be such mean little buggers. Oh, and yes, all venomous snakes are immune to their own venom...that's why they can bite food, let it die then re-swallow their own toxins. We just weren't sure if the little gal was going to make it, being bit in the head and all. must not have bit anything that could kill her!and geckos! They're so adorable! Cept Tokay geckos, they're beautiful but horrid little monsters

I agree.. I can't quit stopping on this one when I am looking through the boards. It is very attention grabbing, the colors are excellently done, I could just go on and on.

the landscape is so captivating x_xxx<3the only thing I have to be an ass about it the balloon. it's too sharp compared to the landscape, the contrast is too great and it doesn't work well. I THINK THEY BOTH ARE HOT, but speratly. not together. :P <3333 keep at it <3

I disagree. having the balloon in focus and the landscape soft makes sense to me.

I think the contrast is perfect. This is a lovely picture. It looks like a storybook illustration.

Interesting. I agree with hideyourface, and at first glance, I thought she was sitting on pillows, not a motorcycle. But, you're much better at this then I am!

Looking back through your gallery its seems like your drawings are missing the dark shadows and light hightlights which give drawings depth. Don't be afraid to throw in some almost white colour where appropriate. It may not look right to you at first while you are sitting up close to it, but step back a few feet and look again. You might even try leaving it for a few minutes and coming back to it for a fresh perspective.

Thanks for the ideas/critique. I do find it useful. :) It is hard to go from drawing on paper/painting to doing it online and I was playing around w/ skin tones etc earlier. I found a site w/ photo refs. and was practicing using them so hopefully will improve. I plan on keeping my people to the intermediate/beginner boards for now and if I try anything on the advanced it will be a dragon. :P (and will be better done than my intermediate ones) ... :D Any tips on correct skin color? I noticed that when I looked at the ref. pics it was more pinkish than I was using. |
