This was my first bloom from my lotus, I love this plant in my water garden. The lilypad like greenery grew up out of the water about 2-4 feet and then the bloom came up reaching about 9ft tall from the bottom of the pond outward. It developed for about 10 days before opening, thank goodness it didn't rain for a week so I got to see the entire bloom process and took about 80 pictures, yes I'm a shutterbug at heart.

This is beautiful, I also prefer the remake of her face. You made her much more delicate looking. The incredible colorful background really gives the "fantasy" look and feel to this. I have always loved your work.....I have followed it on other websites. I am glad to see you drawing here. The tools are much better and for a fantastic artist as yourself you sure have learned them well. Unlike myself....I am still trying. I could only hope one day to draw as magnificent as you. Excellent work!

That is so cute. Looks like that ape from Disney's Tarzan... no wait, or that show "Going Bananas" i think... haven't seen it in ages. anyhow, I love watching the animation for this. I truly admire your precision for detail and texture. I love doing realism but I find myself losing patience after an hour or so. Anyhow keep doing what you love, your technique is awesome. :D

Thanks so much Sweetcell ^__^ I'm really speechless, there's just so much talent around here!By the way, am I allowed to tweak it a little as time goes on? There's a couple places I still don't like and would like to maybe continue working on.

GJ on the win Marfin, I think you are allowed to tweak it as much as you like. It's your own drawing and you have plenty of space left to do so. Hmm, very certain you are allowed, but I could also see why it might not be 'allowed'.

Well, as for that if you tweak this picture now people won't see what the final product was that won it.What I suggest (and you don't have to do this) is draw it again and work longer on that one. Though this is fine as is. |

Hello, I am having some not nice bumps along the road here. I revised my "On the other side" picture and spent another hour and eleven minutes on it to finish it off. As i submited it, after 5 or so minutes it gave me an error "IO Error: Server returned HTTP responce code: 500 for URL: lascaux/" so i tried again..and it gave error again, then i refreshed the page and went on to revise the picture..luckely it did, and i tried to submit it one more time, b...
