Thats cute. It's the first 'advanced artist' picture I have seen yet, and it sets a good standard! The funny thing is that it is still better than half of the pictures on this board.

He is advanced for his age derrick, he ws supposed to be useing perspective, He is closer to the picture than the house is, Cyclops, you are so advanced for your age, your going to be a great artist someday. :} Everyone remember your parents or friends tellin you that, I do. Ok. I'm posting a new rule. People who don't make an effort to type, spell, and write properly will start getting their comments deleted. Same goes for image descriptions. What does this mean? It means actually writing out words in complete, such as "you" and "too." It means learning the difference between "your" and "you're." It means not sounding like a complete moron. Thank you.

I still come to look at this one. I really like it. Not only because it is very well-drawn and there is so much to look at... but because there's a real story behind it. This is one of my favorites. |

Anyway, I was just browsing the forums and I got a good gander at all of the cries for a collaberation partner. I was just thinking that some kind of a collab randomizer would be usefull. Like you click a link to it and there is a button. Then you could click the button and the "randomizer" would pick a user with about the same points as you to collab with that has recentlyclicked the button too. If you don't like the user or somthing you could like click the button again and it would re-randomi...

The line art is giving me some trouble but oh well. ^__^ Can use some ideas/help on clothes and color... if anyone wants to... ^_^omg...

changing the grey lines to black might help, but I think a better approach might be to get rid of that background all together. Try to put her into her environment (for instance: in her house which might have flames in it or an evil family etc). I know that sounds like a lot more work, but thats the point. As it stands, you must have spent a lot of time trying to make those gradual tone colors in her clothing, but they dont have any reason to change color without a light source. Folds, wrinkles, and the way the light will play off of them are ways to make the picture realistic, but those can be advanced techniques that you might not need to worry about yet. I would advise you to take that shading time and effort and invest it into a quality composition with an integrated background. So keep on it! |
