Ok, It took me a lot longer than it should have, but it had to be good,,, for me any way... her left arm is to long, her right arm is to short
I don't think I did a very good job on the pom, and her right eye is off a bit... but all in all it is a good pic for me.... I hope it's good
enough for miss choc gum drops to color it.... And thank you choc for inviting me in a collab... it is much appreciated... and thanks for
the instruction and advice...

Like Cindy said, don't be overly critical of your pieces (though we're all guilty of that) you really have improved, and glad to see you do more than your fox. Your linearts gotten much better, and your anotomy's improved. It's well done. Just one thing, in all this raucous drinking did she missplace her legs somewhere? X)
psychofox0 (Dec 18, 2006)
Thank you. sweetcell... I have been trying really hard to get better, and kind words always help. and again to have a very good artist like your
self comment and give instruction to me is very awesome... thank you very much... and the leg part, I just got lazy... And yeah I guess I draw
my psychofox a little to much... but hey I'm proud of him he's like my child... he has a story line and he's my creation.... But I should be more
diverse....

You can do this. Go for it. :)

Great drawing fm! I thought this would be one of Cindy's when I saw the thumb...really good!
EngineerErrant (edited Dec 23, 2006)
fleeting memory's AWESOME. This is an idea I had for a story, an optical supercomputer trapped in a shot glass. Doesn't it look f***-all like Kinkade's martini glass pics? He's got a flippin' store in my local mall, fer pete's sake. I smell potential for massive, massive sell-outitude! ;)

Well I woke up Sunday morning
With no way to hold my head that didn't hurt
And the beer I had for breakfast wasn't bad,
So I had one more for dessert
Then I fumbled in my closet through my clothes
And found my cleanest dirty shirt
Then I washed my face and combed my hair
And stumbled down the stairs to meet the day

I'd smoked my mind the night before
With cigarettes and the songs I'd been pickin'
But I lit my first and watched a small kid
Playin' with a can that he was kicking
Then I walked across the street
And caught the Sunday smell of someone's fryin' chicken
And it took me back to somethin'
That I'd lost somewhere, somehow along the way.

On a Sunday morning sidewalk
I'm wishing Lord that I was stoned
'Cause there's something in a Sunday
That makes a body feel alone
And there's nothin' short of dyin'
That's half as lonesome as the sound
Of a sleepin' city sidewalk
And Sunday mornin' comin' down

In the park I saw a daddy
With a laughin' little girl who he was swingin'
And I stopped beside a Sunday school
And listened to the songs they were singin'
Then I headed down the street
And somewhere far away a lonely bell was ringin'
And it echoed through the canyon
Like the disappearing dreams of yesterday

On a Sunday morning sidewalk
I'm wishing Lord that I was stoned
'Cause there's something in a Sunday
That makes a body feel alone
And there's nothin' short of dyin'
That's half as lonesome as the sound
Of a sleepin' city sidewalk
And Sunday mornin' comin' down

*content sigh* I love how evocative all your work is.
Childlike_Vampire (Dec 19, 2006)
This was one of my mothers favorite songs to play when I was growing up, as she struggled herself. This is exactly the type of scene I picture whenever I listen to it. Great tribute, DBA, I'm really enjoying this one.
fleeting_memory (Dec 20, 2006)
I dunno why (well aside from the fact that your art always rocks) but I really like this one.
Deino (Dec 26, 2006)
Beautiful atmosphere, it is kind of nostalgic. The shadows and highlights are so impressive...

Contrary... there's a place for everyone. I think this is a good place to start. Just get comfortable, wherever you are is fine. I really like this green, and the abstracty composition here. It's cool.

Oh, that poor kiddo. Too bad he looks super neat-- like some kinda tree monster (with cute glasses) O:

The happiest, happiest drink I ever had was fresh, lukewarm bottled water after being fried by the relentless Texas sun in the Gulf of Mexico and unintentionally sucking down ocean saltwater for hours and hours. Fresh water is a HAPPY drink. I wish I had a coffee cup that smiles at me. Then again, never mind, there are these morning people that smile at me while I'm getting my coffee, and I have this urge to throw the pot of scalding coffee on them. On second thought..no, I don't want a happy cup. How about a scowling "leave me the hell alone" (at least until you see this cup bottom side up) coffee cup for me? Got one of those? :D....Seriously... got one? I need it.

And... did I ever tell you that sometimes I like you? And sometimes I don't because I wish I had red hair and you have some and I don't? Okay... just so all of that is out in the open. :)
lori (Dec 17, 2006)
that's ok darlin'... :) haha
I will make a scowling cup for you too...
any cup with coffee in it is a happy cup to me!

Yep..this does look like Alvaro's but with lots of Javier....
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Dec 17, 2006)
HEY! ZEPSTER! Do you paint on canvas? If you mentioned this before I apologize for not remembering... but if you don't... DO. In at least 2 to 3 hundred years after your death you will be completely famous and commanding gazoodles of money for your paintings. I'm not sure what good this does us as artists, but it seems to be the "going thing" throughout the ages.
jooniper (Dec 19, 2006)

Never impart it completely to anyone other than your horse or your dog. If you don't have either, you're screwed. Yeah, pretty much.

Nah if shesharpened it up a bit it would'nt look like an beautiful western-oil painting like it does,
"She looks as if she could ride a horse with out a sattle"
Miss_DJ (Dec 19, 2006)
beautiful piece Cindy!
lori (Dec 19, 2006)
this is really beautiful and peaceful, and I agree, wouldn't want life without my dog... and there are plenty of horses around here for me to enjoy, I wish you could visit, you'd like it here
Cameo (Dec 20, 2006)
Just beautiful!! Love the hair on the lady! Is this supposed to be you? I understand about the trust issue. Glad I've got my dog. His spirit is one that is always true and always trusted. Never lets me down. I wish I had a horse for I know it would be more of the same. Guess that's why I love animals so much.
