I tried to paint my baby brother's highway patrol car (some of you were unfortunate enough to get a glimpse of my attempt) I gave up on it, I just couldn't get the wheels right. Meaning bright pinks and oranges and yellows, all the brighter tones of the color wheel, not many people do all bright tones without making it feel too garish. You pulled it off here.

I just couldn't get the oiliness that you get. I think you may have skipped an important step between V5 and V6 in your tutorial because I couldn't figure how you went from desaturate to that landscape.Or I'm a ninny and haven't figured it out. Oh well, for what it's worth, another prezzie in your style. A rose by any other name..... would be a different flower. :D Happee Birsday DonnaJean.

Thanks a lot for your helpful, descriptive advice! I'm drawing a new picture right now, and everything makes much clearer sense. I can't believe I didn't see that opacity slider. Well, if you climb up on a dresser or something, prop your feet up on the wall, and hang your head upside down... no, wait... it still doesn't look like anything. Okay, then, if you sit crosslegged on the floor and tilt your head wayyyyy to the right... ummm. ok. I have no idea what it is. I think I pulled something.

I did notice that, but I can't respond to it, because I don't know if he's sexy or not. I haven't ever had a very intimate conversation with him, (and getting into his head would be the deciding factor, really) I have spoken to him briefly, periodically, I consider him a casual friend, I find him very likeable, but I don't know him extremely well. I have never heard his voice, and I have never been standing very close to him. I don't know what he looks like, either, but I don't add that into the equation since it really doesn't matter much what he looks like. What he smells like is extremely important, but obviously I don't know that, either. Fact is, I just don't know. :D (Sorry for talking about you like you're not here, Joe... right now you're NOT. :D)(thanks for that comment, Kenn... finally... somebody gets it.) :D |
