Cool shading, and I like the pinkness. I haven't seen too many elephant drawings, lol.

i love the hair. welcome to 2draw! i hope to see more art from you :D!
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Mar 12, 2005)
I think it's a VERY good start. Stick with the lascaux applet and there's pretty much nothing you can't do with it.
Childlike_Vampire (Mar 13, 2005)
The hair and the eyes and the whole head in general are damn spiffy. DBA is right, if you get used to Lascaux you can do some amazing things, or so I've seen others do, lol. Great first pic, welcome! :D

Wowwhoawoo! Luff deesh one (love all of 'em). It's a nice change when you see someone making good use of composition.
kejoco (Mar 12, 2005)
Dan, I think you're the master, on this site, of using white space as an emotional tool
Great job
DarkCloak (Mar 12, 2005)
Cool! This guy is menacing and creepy at the same time! I love it!
Childlike_Vampire (Mar 13, 2005)
This makes me want to grab my flashlight and blast it on him, en garde style. Really nice contrast, grabbed my attention like mad.

was told once to open my heart.... yeah right... open heart and mind? doesn't work for me
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Mar 12, 2005)
Gotta be pretty closed minded to open your heart, because although it's the "right" thing to do , it just isn't logical. The mind typically protests the opening of the heart, because it isn't safe. I prefer listening to my heart over my mind (probably because I lost my mind a while back lol) Anyway... this is quite comical. It looks like a peeping tom (or bob or harry or whatever his name shall be) got caught in a large rainstorm and got caught in a drip there. It made me smile anyway, and at this delirious hour of 4 am I welcome a smile. :D
featherstone (Mar 12, 2005)
was thinking the same thing.... I don't like both being open... AT ALL... it frees me... but makes me ill
emmamommalag (Mar 12, 2005)
That guy just realized that the important thing to open is your eyes.

emmamommalag (Mar 7, 2005)
Angels have to be strong for the work they do. Nice job on that city down below him.
TaCO (Mar 9, 2005)

wow great colors on this O)
Childlike_Vampire (Mar 8, 2005)
We have handles like that on the doors in my house. Fortunately, we don't have a simliar paint job. But for this picture, the colors are awesome. Blue and orange is one of my favorite color combinations, even though I dislike orange for the most part. I think my favorite part of this is the shine on the door above the handle, the whole gradations of it.
Nice and smooth, I like it when you spend time and put some foreplay into it.
plasma_ooganator (Mar 12, 2005)
SERIES OF UNFORTUNATE EVENTS!!!!!!!! I think.... great glass. blue and orange are opposites but they look great

I think you did a great job on the posture and the folds
DeadlyBlondeArcher (edited Mar 10, 2005)
No, Lori, leave it for like 3 years and wait until the dust bunnies grow teeth.. and there are so many cobwebs that it looks like the Adams Family lives there. and then look at everyone and go, yeah, and you thought I was sitting on my butt doing nothing all this time, didn'tcha? Thought all this stuff just did itself, didn't you? I did that once and it was great fun. :)

I just have to say that I keep coming back to this picture because it's such an original and wonderful idea to draw. Like the kitchen is the heart of the home and everybody collects there.

Gig, I wasn't trying to be mean. I guess it just came out that way. I was just joking. I work a 40 to 60 hour week and my husband is absolutely more domestic than I, so he just does it. But I haven't done housework since 1998. YEAH!!!!!

EDIT: I really like the way your pic came out :) you did a good job. Just thinking about doing dishes makes my back hurt! Hee Hee

It almost looks like Devil;s Tower...or Monument Valley.,.nice landscape Javier
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Mar 11, 2005)
It has to be Mounument Valley... that's the left mitten I see there as the focal point, and I have stood in that exact spot to view it. Very nice, zep.
emmamommalag (Mar 11, 2005)
Lovely picture. Can't wait for the finish.

DeadlyBlondeArcher (Jan 11, 2005)
Bingo is an old hippie surfer... kind of a legend.... this is a sign from his shop. He still builds custom surfboards and can surf with the best of them. Nobody plays bingo there. :)
